One thing you guys never understand about New Jersey is that it isn’t like “The Sopranos”. On that show, you see only one county, which is right around where I live.

However, after about the Raritan Bridge, shit goes downhill. It turns into something that I lovingly named “Pennsyltucky”. Because its like a little Alabama right here in NJ. Some of the people have Southern accents, they drive pickup trucks, and it takes you about an hour to get from your house to Dunkin Donuts. It is truly horrifying.

Now, if you go too far West in New Jersey, again, hillbillys everywhere. It turns into Pennsylvania about 100 miles from the Delaware.

And you go North…christ. Look up “Jackson Whites” on the internet. We stay the hell out West Milford and Sussex Counties. Clansmen and inbreds.

Kind of like Texas ;)
A’ight, settle down, homeboy. I might live in Texas but I’m NOT from here. I’m from a little farther north than you - CT. And I’ve lived outside Philly, in PA, right by the Delaware River. I could see Trenton from the end of my street. And I’ve been in Jersey a few times, though not enough to stay, obviously.

And I’ve never watched the Sopranos. All my Jersey exposure is from actually being there.

This is me about to take my son out for a ride a few years ago. He’s 14 now, and even though the quality isn’t great, this is one of my favorite pics. Back when “parent” wasn’t a bad word yet.

parent is never a bad word in any context
I’m sure my son would disagree with you, but that’s OK. When I was 14 I would have too.

When I remember back to what I was like when I was 14, I realise how lucky I am - he’s a great kid, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to throttle him some days.

Some random facts about Nate Green:

After meeting Nate this weekend, I have to agree with proxy that Nate is an awesome guy! What a pleasure to meet him, and we’ll be looking for both of you at the next Test Fest.
I had the distinct pleasure of sitting next to Nate during the seminar. Great, Great guy! And ‘knowing’ Proxy as I do through the forum i’d say they are a perfect match!

Edited to say…I thought I could eat more Metabolic Drive bars consecutively than anyone. I’ve met my match in Nate. I lost count at like 5?

Ok – here we go…

Obsure fact:

My orginal degree plan in college was to be a nuclear engineer…and no I don’t glow in the dark, unless asked ;p.

Proxy is an extremely hot t-vixen…no ordinary ‘girl’

I’ve heard the rumours, ma’am, but a gentleman like myself would not want to risk offending Ms Proxy with lurid comments about her persona.

A fun fact is that i make out with my sisters when drunk guys talk to them.

ookay then…is that the norm in New Jersey?

Absolutely fucking not. Once again though, this guy may be from South Jersey…otherwise known as “Pennsyltucky” to those of us from North Jersey.

K, something tells me there’s a REASON for that name…

Your intelligence is apparent in your ill humored ignorance, not everyone sleeps with thier sisters in Texas, sometimes they sleep with yours. Not everyone is a racist either, albiet we have varying opinions on ignorant yankees such as yourself that does not make us racists.

Engage brain before opening your mouth, you sound like a douche bag.

Proxy, I have some nosey questions for you. First of all, did you and Nate really meet chatting on the forums? Is that where it all began? If so, which threads did you first start chatting on? It would be cute to go back and read them. (Yes, I do have a life believe it or not)

Also, I get the impression that your family is quite traditional (if I am reading what you wrote correctly). If so, how did you get into lifting and what does your family think of your hobby?
Hey JPBear,
Haha! My family is definitely a whole different interpretation of “traditional” Indian values. (Granted, most Indian girls I know aren’t the least bit athletic or encouraged to be active, sadly!)

As for keeping my midriff to myself - I’ve just always been too shy! My mom (back in her supermodel 20’s) did sport her fair share of hot Bond girl bikinis!

My sisters and I have always been encouraged to think outside the box, envision and realize anything, and try everything. As such, we’re a really athletic bunch (track, basketball, field hockey, lifting, etc) and our parents have always been really active people.

Lifting came about as part of my training for field hockey and running and developed into an extension of myself as injury prevented me from running for some time. My family is amazingly supportive… although my Mom is working hard to understand why I want “boulder shoulders”!

So, if you had any “Bend it Like Beckham” thoughts, dispell and replace with progressive, encouraging, liberal Indian parentele…interesting question, though!

I have autoimmune thyroid disease, s/p thyroidectomy and high autoimmune antibodies, which makes it a challenge for me not to be 150# (I’m 5’3")…my metabolism is slow and that sucks. But thankfully, there are resouces like T-Nation that really provide support. And good thing for weight training, that saved my health, it keeps me from feeling too terrible and also keeps the weight off. If it weren’t for heavy weight training, my health would be nowhere as good as it is today, and I’m thankful.

Normally people like me have high cholesterol, overweight, but I have extremely low LDL’s and extremely high HDL’s, great health profile, all thanks to the education, lifestyle, etc. from the bb industry. I’m greatful to the bb industry for drawing my interest way long ago and helping me change my life for the better. I applaud the BB industry for leading the way with many types of lifestyle modification, medical research and other research and implementation.

You are in inspiration to everyone with health conditions. And a dam hot babe at that!

This might be the first thing you’ve ever said that I agree with
I guess I better rethink my position then!

Deffinately an Inspriration :).

These are my two girlfriends. My girlfriend on the left is a Legal Analyst (Law Degree from Cali.) for the City, as well as a Flight Attendant (strictly for the travel benefits)- she’s originally from New Zealand/Australia and she is one of my very best friends. The girl in the middle is the other night Charge Nurse with me where I work and she is originally from the country of Burma. Both are intelligent, strong women. Wanted to share this happy photo of us letting our hair down from this past christmas. We are a small representation of the great melting pot it is here in Hawaii- a mixture of many different cultures and backgrounds.

Probably posting too late.

1)Its tough finding a picture without my kids in it that I’m not making a funny face in.

2)I love this site. It’s about the only one I visit on a regular basis.
