I don’t know whether the guy in charge of the magazine is racist or incompetent, or whatever. I do know one thing: the reason he gave is bogus. I tend to think that a lot of claims about racism are overblown, and I’m not going to leap to the conclusion that this guy is a racist. I do think, however, that he needs some lessons from his PR department, and perhaps some job-training if he really thinks it’s so difficult to photograph dark-skinned people.

Ready to call the NAACP? You don’t know me well at all. I TALKED about the issue because I felt it was a topic worthy of it. I can assure you I lost no sleep last night over whether he got on a mag cover or not. What I am pointing out to you, and to others who seem to take so much issue if anyone gets a damn compliment, is that if it truly mattered so little to you, you would not have responded at all. Apparently, anytime someone gets a compliment, there are quite a few who take offense.
I will take an issue with the many who seem to follow every word of writers here with seemingly no independant thought as they change entire routines simply because a new article came out this week. That does bother me, not because some author got a compliment, but that so many seem to be unable to figure out some of this shit on their own at all.
The bottom line is, this is a bodybuilding forum. People are going to get compliments and you complaining about the simple fact that they do just sounds like jealousy unless you have a reason to be against it that goes deeper than the compliment itself. You don’t seem to have that reason. You simply seem to be mad at someone getting a compliment. That leads us to, why the fuck would that bother you if you are doing everything you need to be doing in your own life?
