Kid, Lemme tell you a little story about my friend Hank.

When I was in my 20’s, he was one of my best friends, but he got popped several times for DUI, and he had that EXACT argument “I didn’t hurt anyone!!” Couldn’t seem to understand the POTENTIAL is what makes the behavior utterly reprehensible. We disagreed about this vehemently. And I’m no prude - plenty of drinking and drugs when I was younger, but I was smart enough to not get behind the wheel when I was fucked up.

Anyway, his third DUI - well he didn’t actually get arrested for the third one because he rammed his car into a family’s van, killing himself, both parents and a 2 and 5 year old girl.

Too bad he didn’t kill himself in one of the earlier incidents of drunk driving. That family wouldn’t be dead.

When you grow up you’ll understand.

Being glad someone you don’t know who hurt no one else is dead is a little sadistic even if they did do something as stupid as driving while drunk.
