They get eaten… By zombies or humans without food.
Pets wouldn’t last long.

Wow, readin the comics I see they really nerfed Tyreese’s character.

Yeah, alot of the stuff in the comics is a bit too dark for tv. That and it seems like he enjoys the chance to explore different ways to tell the story.
Man I am so sick of the GUV. Its a bad story line and they need to drop it. I say they turn from the prison and hit the road again.

In the Comics the Gov’s storyline was awesome. The biggest problem with it here, is that it is taking way too long and the character isnt some crazy sociapath so we never really get convinced that he is anything but some sleezy dude with a bad accent.
Also, what was up with him trying to get sympathy beause his wife died in an accident? Dude… boo freaking hoo. This is a world where almost everyone lost their SO to a living corpse eating them alive. Grow a pair.

Yeah maybe that is it. Just a bad character and poorly written lines. What ever it is I am sick of it. Its dragging on. I just want it over.
The scene at the end where Rick says we are going to war and Daryl and Merle look at each other like “oh it’s on” was so awesome. Also this whole biz with the gov could be solved by merle taking any of the numerous hunting rifles, stalking to outside woodbury complex, getting a field of view where the govs bedroom window is visible and offing him when he passes by it. The character he plays is a good ol boy who probablly grew up hunting squirrels with a .22 .

Yeah in the comics doesn’t the Governor like rape Michonne and cut off one of Rick’s hands?

I was thinking the same thing. Just send Michonne and Merle out to kill the guv. Done deal.

Yup. Doesnt even ask any questions, just brings them into a room right when they meet, has someone hold down rick’s arm, cuts his hand off just to prove that he isnt fucking around. Then he rapes michone multiple times and makes glenn listen to it. Then he starts his interogation. That is the first time we meet the Gov in the comics, and he doesnt disapoint from there.

I feel like after seeing the preview for next week and the growing cognitive dissonance with Milton’s knowledge of the Gov’s behavoir will lead to a Milton/Andrea plot to have the writers try to make up like Andrea again by her saving the day.
Also, wtf, why did this season entirely skip the Tyreese storyline?

Oh yeah, Milton and Andrea are totally gonna turn on the Gov. next episode and try to take him down from within. They must be saving Tyreese almost entirely for next season. I hope they give him a big part next go around though; he’s a badass in the comics from what I understand.

COMIC SPOILER
Yeah, in fact he beats Rick’s ass multiple times. In the comics though, the Tyreese character is around for the prison storyline, but not after it if you catch my drift. If they go that route, it would make his TV story pretty much 100% independent from the comics, but that is happening with most of the characters anyways.

I interpreted that as the Gov trying to find vulnerability in Rick to exploit. Perhaps I was reading into it, but when Rick reacted the way he did to the story, the Gov realized he had struck a nerve and had a “Bingo!” look about him.
I thought Gov was going to use that to make a move with the pistol he had taped to the table, but it never materialized. I was sure that meeting was going to come to blows/gunfire but they really drew it out to last the length of the episode.

In the comics, Tyreese is Rick and Rick is Shane. At least kind of.
I think I’m just turned off this whole storyline after Andrea failed to stab the Gov. after they had sex. I mean, he could have died so many times now. Even a little strategy would have solved this. Rick has better fighters and even the slightest hint of tactical combat could have made up for the lack of people, which is not so hard to expect from a cop.

How so. Rick is pretty close to his comic character aside from the two hand thing.

Not to get too spoilery with guesses based on the comic, but I think we’re losing at least two characters from the prison by the end of this season, and I expect Tyreese to be in place next season as one of Rick’s top men.
