Token black guy three you’re up!
Mid season 3, and Carl and Michonne still havent shown a greater emotional range than that of a Lobotomy victim.

On the bright side atleast we got to see Michonne without the sandy vag face at the end of the episode.
My favorite thing about this show is Michonne. So I am kinda pissed at the way Rick has been treating her.
She showed up at the fence with formula for his baby and dude just stood there and stared at her. She tells him she knows where his people are and he hurts her right off the bat without even giving her a chance to speak. She leads them to where they need to be to get them back, and once it’s done he wants treats her like she’s an enemy and wants to send her packing. It’s obvious that she’s a valuable asset, and maybe even a half way decent human being, but he’s mind’s too shot to see it.

Apparently, zombies prefer dark meat. Confirms the Haitian origin of virus.

He’s the first guy with the son Rick met after he got out of hospital.

In the behind the scenes clip, the actor who plays Rick said he wants the fans to hate Rick in second half of season 3. I can’t imagine why, maybe he’s sick of being the nice guy? lol
I’m a little confused about the easy access to the back of the prison? You would think after how long they’ve been there, that they would of secured the perimeter of the prison? At least chained the fence back together? I mean Rick waste his time killing all the walkers in the lower levels. How about stop them from coming in the back door? Shit, at least make Tyreese and his peeps hop the fence or something?

She’s not exactly helping her cause by trying to endear herself to the group either. Like I mentioned before, sharing all of the relevant info regarding Woodbury before they stormed the place would have been a start. Hell, just TALKING a little about herself would help. Instead she wears a constant scowl that would curdle milk and offers nothing but curt, hissed responses to important questions.
In that world, if you aren’t a trusted ally then you’re automatically assumed to be an enemy. She has done things that have been suspicious, despite the fact that she’s also been an asset, which leaves her motives uncertain in Rick’s eyes. Add to that the fact that she is clearly dangerous and you can see why the leader of a group with several women and two children (plus ample resources to lose) would be hesitant to welcome her with arms outstretched.
I thought this episode was very well done. Carl handled the situation back at the prison the best possible way any adult could have. Michonne’s fight with the Gov was well done too. It would have been stupid if she had just used some bullshit kung fu to totally dominate a guy that has 70 lbs on her.

As it is the Governor is just the logical conclusion to what Rick will become. As it is he already Forcefully took over Herschel’s farm and the prison(granted he was nice about it), at the end of season 2 he stated that he could give a shit about what anyone else thinks. All Rick really needs now is for Carl to get zombified and he will be on course for being a governor type.

My thoughts exactly. Holding up in that prison is looking dumber and dumber.
Some musings on the episode; great great work, lots of shit, did you see that & WTF?! moments for me.
-
Intro of Tyreese’s group was well done; that Jada Pinkett-Smith type I’d like to hold out but I do see the other guy (whose wife/SO/GF? get bit & their son) not lasting long at all (zombie fodder)
-
Carl is hard as a rock - that “Shouldn’t we help them?” - “I already did” scene is his Clint Eastwood, Jr. moment (tho, I have to wonder I’m thinking Rick & his group sealed off & isolated a very small section of the prison, the grounds/prison footprint must be huge & I wonder what caused that explosion / rubble in the back of the prison where Tyreese et al infiltrated…
-
kudos to Glenn on the MacGyver ulna/radius limited edition CQB knife he gave his lady,
-
One of the best kills by far on Penny by Michonne, though the usual decapitation / head flying through the air landing in a waiting water tank would probably have tested Michonne’s apparent ninja skills,
-For TV’s sake I’m sure all Michonne has to show for her face being pushed headfirst through some plate glass is a bloody forehead, not a “Jigsaw” type facial massacre & a slashed neck… Although her dropping her guard when she saw little Penny was a nice touch & she didn’t exhibit the constipation/screwface for once
-shard of glass in the eye was done well, though I would have thought the Gov came back too quickly (endorphin/adrenaline rush brought on by the slaying of his zombie daughter?) to assume control & set up the Merle/Daryl public execution…
-Show of hands on who is on Team Andreaneedstodienext? I’m thinking in the next season episode(s) when Merle / Daryl are forced to fight each other gladiator style she gives herself up in self-sacrifice when Rick comes back to save the redneck duo & dumps shortsighted Blondie…
Man, I really hope Rick doesn’t turn heel, though the writers are doing well to show his transformation from a guy who cares (sometimes waaay to much) to Officer IDGAF
Sorry, having trouble putting in a pic

I’ve never read the comics, but I’m pretty sure Andrea is a main character and is not going anywhere. Hopefully I’m wrong and she dies painfully while seeing Dale’s ghost verbally berating her as she draws her last breath. Speaking of ghost, what’s up with Rick hallucinating seeing Shane and letting Otis get killed? Tell me this isn’t going to be an ongoing problem?
All and all it was a kickass episode. What’s you guys take on Merle’s fate? No way he’s gonna be allowed in Rick’s group if they get out alive. IS it possible that the whole things staged from the jump when Gov and Merle were talking about Prison earlier? Is Merle going deep cover for the Gov? Making Daryl believe he’s not down with the Governor anymore and can be trusted?
I want Carl to go next

All excellent points, especially the last one. I love the way they have depicted her fighting. Besides, even bullshit kung fu degenerates into dirty kick boxing and wrestling when it comes down to real fighting. Michonne is a warrior, not a TMA dork that THINKS that they are. And thank goodness, because otherwise the character wouldn’t be anywhere near that cool.
Slow to speak, quick to act. Determined and independent by nature, not affect. Unflinching in the face of danger…That’s something a hick cop might not be able to recognize right off the bat. I’m sure that Mr. Telephone Call From The Other Side does find her behavior to be odd. He doesn’t know what he’s looking at.
Her first impression of Rick wasn’t especially favorable either. Knowledge is power. She wasn’t so willing to give up the goods because she didn’t know who she was dealing with, or if she was going to need to use that knowledge as some kind of bargaining chip. I bet if dude had acted like a decent human being and let her in instead of vapidly gawking at her like a fucking retard she would have been more willing to talk. But going on what little she saw before she passed out (which was sick Rick), the prison could have turned out to be another Woodbury
Hauling a basket of provisions for a starving baby through a zombie apocalypse with an injured leg is one hell of an olive branch. He shoulda been thanking her regardless of her facial expression.

Rick is losing his shit, the phone calls, now the hallucinations (and it’s Oscar not Otis, Otis was the fat guy Shane killed). I like Shane’s beard, apparently he is filming a movie with Scorcese and couldn’t shave it for his 5 second cameo.
I would still guess (as stated earlier) that it will come out that Merle was sent by the Governor as a spy back with Daryl and the whole thing was a set-up to convince Daryl he could be trusted. I’m guessing the only way Merle can get back in the Governor’s good graces is to betray his brother. Merle likes the power he currently has in Woodbury and wants to keep it, plus he’s still pissed at the original Atlanta group for the rooftop incident.
How many more episodes until Carl busts a cap in that guy’s ass for talking to his woman?
So how long will the latest token black guy last?

I think this one will be here for a bit. I recognize that actor from a bunch of stuff.
