Just got caught up. Good show.
Honestly I think the most intriguing relationship is between Daryl and Carol. Not over dramatic, but emotional. But I think all of the characters are great, even Carl and Lori

Given what we’ve been shown about the Gov: He’s killed the helicopter pilot and put his head in his zombie aquarium (which he has for what? Entertainment? Yea, he’s with it). And he didn’t only kill the Army guys for their “resources” … You’re a smart guy, don’t act naive ![]()
He killed them so he wouldn’t have anyone with legitimate contention for his leadership position. It’s the same reason he’s so interested in finding Rick (and eliminating Rick). He’s not a leader, he’s a tyrant. Huge difference.
Since it’s always a moot point to discuss what we would do in these scenarios (since we’ll probably never be IN these scenarios) because we all, for the most part, aren’t realistic … however, if I were to forget all that I know about the show and about Woodbury (which again is an unrealistic expectation) I’d tend to agree with you on this point, initially.
Superficially, Woodbury is basically a heaven when compared with the hell of the zombie apocalypse. However, anyone with half a brain and remedial knowledge about allocation of scarce resources could see that Woodbury can’t last in its present form (i.e. electricity).
Not only that re: the Army guys, but let’s remember HOW he killed the dying lieutenant. Smashing his face in with the butt of his own rifle. The Gov is a dickpooface.

dickpooface indeed…

If you guys hadn’t read read the book and actually suffered through the zombie apocalypse, you all would be knocking on Governor’s door.l

I agree with this, I would probably buy into his bullshit if I didn’t have all the facts, just like most of the people in Woodbury probably do. It would be far easier just to go along with things and be comfortable and not question anything.
His militia do know things though, and they are scared shitless of him. Merle killed that kid just because the kid was too scared to lie to the Governor and Merle was too scared to tell him the truth.
Well I’m guessing we’ll get a good look at the Governor’s mentality on tonight’s episode, with the whole Glen and Maggie hostage situation. If they were never kidnapped and Rick found out about Woodbury, I think his 1st thought on his mind would be to make sure prison is secured and ready for and attack. But the Governor finding out about prison, his first notion will be to plan an attack asap and wipe them out! But with this whole Glen, Maggie and Merle stuff, I’m guessing Rick will have to do some Reconnaissance Mission type shit. Definitely forces their hand to act fast!
Any predictions?
Death totals?
Twists?
I get the feeling Maggie will get abused in the worst way. And Merle will face off with his Bionic Redneck Brother

Based on the preview of next week, we may finally have the Dixon brothers throw down we’ve all been waiting for. It looks like Daryl may be the conflicted one based on the preview, but I’m guessing Merle throwing a punch or taking a shot at him will help clear things up real quick.
It didn’t seem like Maggie got what Michonne got in the comic, not sure if it was toned way down or they just didn’t want to go there (rape), but I’m glad either way.
And the Governor is a sick, sadistic man on a power trip (which we all already knew).
Oh, and apparently based off the summary of next week’s episode, Andrea gets in the mix to help fend off the people “attacking” Woodbury.
Can’t wait for next weeks episode. Some serious shit is gonna go down.
Does anybody think that the few guys that the Governor sent out will be gone and on their way to the prison while all the shit is going down in Woodburry? It would basically be Carl against them.
Carl will probs go all ‘clint eastwood with a hickory staff’ on them

Based on the preview, some shit is going down at the prison next week, and Carl is taking charge and barking orders at everyone.
I like in last nights episode how Carl asked his dad if they should help Michonne, and right away he starts shooting the walkers.
I don’t get. Does Rick and everyone understand that Michone was with Andrea all this time?

Does Michonne even know Andrea was apart of Ricks group?
Doesnt seem like she would mention “my bitchy blonde friend Andrea” to the group off the bat.

No. Michonne has no idea that Rick’s group knows Andrea or Merle.

The gov’s guys probably won’t leave until morning. I don’t think they leave the town after dark.

You would think that Andrea would have mentioned her past to her. Also, Michonne saw (and heard) Merle confront Maggie and Glenn and it was obvious they knew each other.

I disagree. I think Michonne has figured out that Rick et al. are Andrea’s former group but due to her distrusting nature is holding her cards close to the chest … really close to the chest.
It’s hard to imagine that Andrea never once reminisced about her old group or relayed any information about them to Michonne in the 6 months since Andrea and Rick’s group have been separated.

Yeah you would think she would have mentioned that, but she was so busy looking mean and tough that it probably slipped her mind.

One thing that annoyed me about the phone after thinking about it, why the hell were Amy, Jim, and Jackie on the phone but not Dale or T-Dog.
Rick barely knew those 3 compared to Dale and T.[/quote]
His conversation with Ghost-T-Dawg would go something like this,
T-dawg – “I died under your watch, you don’t remember?”
Rick – "No…who are you?
T – “The black guy!”
R – “What do you mean, I just saw the black guy an hour ago?!?”
T – “No, the original black guy!”
R – “wait…what?”
