Went shopping this morning, wanted some oranges.
What I picked up, photographed, then dropped back with the offending citrus face-down is the following:

I stopped buying groceries at Wal-Mart, their “fresh” food is never anywhere near fresh.
the produce isn’t the only thing passed it’s prime.
Now I’m completely not jealous our Wal Marts don’t sell fresh meats and produce.
Sounds like a local problem, the walmart near me has the best produce around.
There’s a local grocer who has better meat selections though so I usually don’t end up shopping at wal-mart anyway.
Most of it isn’t fresh. Even if it’s soft and red, it’s been injected with Carbon Dioxide I believe? (Fact Check?) I saw this thing on 20/20 about it. And don’t flame me or use this as evidence until fact checked.
There are no Wal-Marts in New York…I wish there was sometimes. If I ever got bored I could stop on by and laugh at the fat people in scooters.
Apparently, I’ve heard Wal-Mart sells coffins now too. Awesome!

There’s seriously no Walmarts in New York? Crap. I live 4 minutes from a Super Center, 20 minutes from another, and 29 minutes from a third.
While I usually take issue with walmart, I do love the ability to upload pictures from my computer, then run down the street and pick up the pictures from almost nothing at all. The photo center at this one is pretty good, too.
And it just occured to me that there’s no where else to go within 20 minutes of where I live. If the walmart disappeared, there would be no where to buy clothes, groceries, anything. Wow.
Wal-Mart is almost exactly 4 minutes from me, as well.
And dammit, as much fuckin’ meat as I buy, I can’t beat their prices. And generally, they have bigger containers of ground turkey than anyplace within 15 minutes. And I go through that something furious.
but yeah, never buying fruit from these fuckers again.

There might be some upstate but last time I checked, there weren’t any in the city. Us New Yorkers have to buy our bulk food from Costco and the likes. Well, we’d have to go out to Long Island to do so.

here is a link for how many there are choosing a random zip code!
now you can stop by and make fun of people on scooters.
why would you EVER shop at walmart? You think something is a good deal, then you go home and the shit falls apart. Oh yeah, I forgot they but american products there, don’t they? And you wonder why we have the problems in this country that we do. I’m not attacking anyone, just realize that because you ‘save’ money doesn’t make things decent quality : |
That is what you get for shopping at shitty walmart!!
I’ve said fuck Wal-Mart ever since I’ve been in proximity to HEB and Whole Foods.

I’m not the only one who lives off of wal-mart ground turkey? awesome.
I love Sam Walton, and I love his ideas, and I love his stores. I however am not in love with how some of these places are being ran, this is not Sam Walton’s store anymore it seems. Yes, there is nothing wrong with outsourcing, or buying out of the country but have some decency to have good products.
I’m not bothered by rotten fruit, it happens. But a lot of their shit has been frozen and has no flavor.
