Had a surgery to fixed my deviated septum at the start of the week. Will be off 1-2 weeks.
Planning on doing my first workout tomorrow since surgery. Will keep it light.
I’m not really happy with the results as of now. I don’t think my surgeon did a great job, at least the bottom half of my septum still looks/feels very deviated. I think he may have only straightened a small portion.
Glad you’re about to get back to it, but hate you’re not happy.
When I broke both my arms I knew the x ray tech, she told me make sure doctor X doesn’t do my surgery. Woke up and found out he did it
. He did a horrible job and I have tons of pain and limited mobility. Have to go back for more surgery at some point, so I definitely feel your pain on this one. You’d think only qualified individuals would be allowed to work inside us, but alas, anyone can apparently
Worst part is I was planning to confirm with the surgeon pre-surgery that he was planning on straitening my entire septum. For some reason I had a bad feeling when I read the procedure would only take 30-40 minutes. I was told he would see me before surgery but that never ended up happening. The entire process was rushed through.
Chin-ups and dips today, felt pretty weak.
Finally finished stuffing my heavy bag. It’s a beast.

Been focusing on my nose and annoyed non-stop recently. Really not happy with the results of my surgery. Breathing is no better, septum is still visibly deviated, and I found that I have a big indent on top of my nose now (saddle nose, possible side effect). All around a bad experience and will likely be a lot of time and thousands to get it fixed … with all the same risks and potential side effects.
Had to work late and my knuckles were sore so took it easy today.

I did these with a moderate stance, not too wide. I never do sumo deadlifts but I’m going to start sticking with DOH and rotate through different variations. Work my grip strength while reducing wear and tear on my lower back (since loads will naturally be lighter)
