Velocity Diet: A 28 Day Journey

I just began the V-Diet after bulking from September 07. I went from 190 to 222lbs. At 190 I was probably 10-12% body fat and probably 18-19% currently at 222. I plan on cutting down to 190-195. Than about a month before my rebulk probably September again, I’ll try to get my body fat in the 8%, maybe even 7% range to optimize my initial clean bulk.

Lifts in LBS:

Deadlift 1RM
Before: 350
After: 430

Bench: 3RM
Before: 230
After: 270 on my last attempts (I’m assuming 290ish though)

Squat: 3RM
Before: 275
After: 330

I’m doing alright after the first day but I just took my last 2 HOT-ROX for the day and I’m sweating my ass off for some reason. I’ve taken HOT-ROX multipile times but never with these extreme affects.

I’ll be posting before/after pictures at the end but I’ll be posting weekly updates if you guys are interested.

Today is day three for me on the V-Diet.

I’ll have to say that the first day was hell. I went through the day doing alright but by 8pm I was dieing. I wanted eat my dog. The serving of natty peanut butter saved me on my last shake.

Day two a breeze. I didn’t feel hungry at all. I went to bed with another delightful serving of natty peanut butter.

Today is day three and so far it’s also a breeze. I’m not craving any bad food or solid food in general. I woke up at 8:15 and had my 2 HOT-ROX pills and took a shower. I had my first shake at 9am with two fiber choice tablets and Se7en. I’ve already had my second shake at Noon with my milled flax seed. Today is a training day so no Flameout today.

Hopefully the second day wasn’t easy just because I didn’t lift and I’ll be feeling poopy tonight again after lifting.

It’s so nice not to have to worry about cooking constantly and it will make work so much easier to get in a meal every 2-3 hours.

Until next time folks.

Keep it up!!

Can’t wait to hear more.

Wait, why are you taking Se7en?

-dizzle

Se7en is just a stronger Methoxy-7 which was geared towards men. It turns out that women had better affects on the supplement than men so they market towards women so they can increase profit probably, which is understandable. If you read the article it reads that men can take it as well and TC also answers questions on doses for men in some article.

I wasn’t sure if I should have taken it before or after the diet but I decided to take it during.

Very thorough answer.

Cool man, good luck with everything, I’ll be checking your thread whenever you post.

It has been 8 days since I started the v-diet. I’m doing pretty good but I crave fast food. I think partially because I ate like a dump while out of town in Ohio at the Arnold Classic. All I ate was fast food.

It’s not killing me to not eat solid food or even good food though. I weighed in with 6lbs off the scale.

I’m noticeably leaner in my face, stomach and chest.

I’m scared that I might not be big as I thought I was and my leaning up wont look as good as I intended but I presume I’ll be bigger and leaner than I was back in September. I was told I might have body dimorphism order, thinking I’m smaller than I actually am but you guys will be the test, I’m positive I’m not hyyyyooooge.

The next “bulk” that I do will be more controlled.

I started out good last year but I just kept saying “eh, I’m bulking.” So a lot of things were eaten that should probably not have.

I’ve noticed today that my arms and chest feel very fatigued, I’m going to assume because of the calorie intake.

Oh one more thing. I have been having chicken broth every other day or so. It’s 10 calories per cup and 960mg of sodium. It tastes sooo good and I think it might be affective because my diet has such low sodium and that affects cell structure.

Not to be harsh, but am I missing something.

you went from 190 at a decent BF level, to bulking to 222, now you want to cut back down to where you were? what was the point of the bulk? do you plan on having more muscle than before?
again, not trying to be a jerk here.

You had 171 lbs lean mass, and you bulked to 182 lbs of lean mass. Not much muscle gain for putting on 32 lbs of weight.

I support the fat loss, but maybe next time you bulk, try for a little less fat gain.

good luck on the journey.
I’m on a bulk phase myself right now, and either direction is going to be tough

If your math is correct than your saying I gained 11lbs of muscle in 6 months and saying that is bad? I’d say that is impressive. So 1/3 of my weight gain had been muscle so maybe intense but none the less the lean mass gain is very nice than.

And I already commented on the fact that I will be cleaner next time around.

Obviously I plan on having more muscle mass after a bulk. Why else would I bulk; just to be a dump for half of the year and gain no LBM? Stupid question buddy. Yes, I plan on having more hypertrophy so yes, at 190-195lbs I plan to be larger than I was last year at 190.

One week out:

Jeans shots are after a week, the black shorts is the morning before the v-diet.

That’s probably all I be putting up for now, they’re a little too small with the 4 pics together and I cant get it any different with my software atm. I’ll show legs at the end of the diet.

I see some changes, got to look close, but tehr are changes, Try only 2 pics side by side next time. Keep trucking!

I dunno, if gaining weight means a 1:2 ratio of muscle to fat, I’d be unhappy. that’s just me, and I’m just starting the process (who knows it will probably get MUCH tougher to keep up this pace)

right now, I’m up 7 lbs total and have lost a pound of fat

which equals +8 LBM and -1 for fat mass.

I’m no where near a newbie, but have been in kind of a funk training and nutrition wise for a while.

If you gained 8lbs of muscle and lost fat I question how large you are or how long you have been consistently training. I’m guessing 5’ 9", 150lbs with very inconsistent lifting. How are you doing this equation to show you lost exactly 1lb of fat, the way you look?

Also to the poster below my picture post, if you read my post, you would see that I wrote in I currently couldn’t do a side by side with one single image. If you didn’t read that I doubt you read it was only 1 week in on my v-diet, not completed.

Please read posts!!

5’8 167 before skin caliper test by a trainer

174 now down to 13.8% BF I believe

i’ve been lifting consistently for years, but since getting out of college 2.5 yrs ago, my training hasn’t been very intense and my nutrition for the last year was a lot of junk.

Today is day 14 for me on the V-Diet. I’m feeling much leaner and everyone I see can tell that I’m leaning up as well.

I continue to be commented on people I interact with at work say how I look big so I’m glad no atrophy has taken affect.

Tomorrow is Monday, obviously, and I’ll be seeing if my lifts are as easy as they were on day 1. I’m hoping I still can rip through my lifts.

I’ve decided if I lose a considerable amount of strenght I’ll be adding in 4 solid meals a week.

Also a quick funny story. An associtate at work (a very unintelligent associate) over heard me talking to my buddies about the diet and decided to do it as well. Here’s the catch; he’s not taking any suppliments, fishoil, flax, fiber, HOT-ROX, nothing! Plus he’s using WHEY protein. This kids is such an idiot. You cant tell this kind of person that it wont be affective and you need to follow this pretty closely + have the right protein. I’ve talked to him briefly saying stop because it’s stupid!

The other funny part of this is that he is probably 5’ 6" 150. This kid is already skinny but is starting to get a very small beer belly. Oh and more lovely things to write about keep popping into my head; he also doesn’t lift weights!

Stupid!

Anyways, my shakes and diet have been great.

Yesterday for my solid meal I had 4-5oz of Ezikeal 4:9 spaghetti, 99% lean ground turkey with chopped garlic/onion. I forgot veggies! Although I am taking Super Food on this V-Diet but I would have enjoyed some SOLID veggies! Oh well, next week.

I’ll let you guys know what I weigh tomorrow, until then, cya!

Man, that was FAST result! It’s almost unbelievable.

This V-Diet sure seems tempting…

Great progress!

You should do one of two things to that kid:

  1. Explain to him that what he’s doing is a really bad idea

or

  1. Let him do it anyway, and make sure he gets pictures on the first and last day (if he survives), just to see what a huge embarassing failure the experiment turns out to be.

Your options will be weighed by how douche-baggish the kid is in general. If he’s cool, go with 1, if he sucks, go with 2.

-dizzle

Haha A-Dizz. Yeah he’s sort of a douche. He’s got to be mentally handicapped because all he does is grunt when you ask him something then he’ll slowly put together a “sentence.”

Anyways, Today is the 2 week mark and I weighed in at 211.2. So I lost 11lbs already. So hopefully I’ll total 10-11lbs more by the end of the complete V-diet and then my other 5-10 after transition, depending on how I look.

I’ll be putting pictures up soon as I load photoshop.

Thanks guys

Here is week 2 shots. With a total of 11lbs lost.
