Fully automatic weapons are illegal already. We cannot make them ‘more’ illegal. I suppose we can give people life sentences or the needle for having one but that’s as far as you can go.

Being that this could have been easily doctored, I will wait for the facts to come out. Of course we would love this to be another islamic terrorist attack, at least, for what it’s worth, we ‘understand’ that to a certain degree.
I am betting against it right now. The attack fits the profile but the individual does not. That means nothing except we need more facts and we are short on those.
I really hope Vegas can keep a cool head and not change. Shore up loose ends, sure. Don’t take for granted that people do weird shit in Vegas, ok. But over all, the freedom of Vegas needs to be preserved. It’s what makes the place special. I am glad I got to enjoy it before this happened. Who knows what the peanut gallery will do, for the sake of appearing to do something to make themselves feel better while not actually doing a damn thing.
There was one suggestion I liked I heard from a former cop. Allow off-duty cops to act on their instincts and end a situation like this if they happen to be out an strapped and the opportunity presents itself. Why not?

Read it again. It uses a definition of mass shooting = 4+ individuals shot at the same event. The article did not simply divide the number of people shot in a year by 365.
As long as theres drugs gambling and insanely hot hookers there i dont see it changing. Just got back from there. I go 3x a year… Love it however this does scare me going to those large pool parties a bit. But really what could they do stop doing outside events? Im not sure what hotels could do either. Vegas has large outside events daily at almost every Casino…what do you think they do to make vegas less free or fun?
