I am going to be doing my first cycle of 500mg of test and 400mg of eq for 10-12 weeks. Is it safe to run 500iu once a week through the entire cycle so I don’t get shut down? I want make sure I can run hcg that long since I read a lot that should only be run for a short amount of time but what is considered short?
Would 10 weeks be too long? or maybe start the 4th week?

Your LH production will be nil in a few days. In 2005, research determined that 250iu SQ EOD maintained baseline intratesticular testosterone levels in normal men who where shut down with 200mg/wk of test cyp.
So you have the option of using that dosage and not having the testes shutdown at all. However the hypothalamus-pituitary function is shut down and needs PCT to recover. Then when the body produces its own LH, the testes are ready to work with that.
(You should use a SERM to get the LH production started, overlap with HCG, taper off the SERM and use AI at that time as the SERM can increase E levels which will be active once the SERM is gone… which would be LH repressive. And you may need AI all through the cycle as the 500mg of test will pump up E levels which can do the gyno thing, create bloat/fat and mess with libido.)
