US Presidential Election Predictions

So liberal snowflakes didn’t have the balls to leave their homes and vote. Why does that surprise you lol?

It’s not about having balls dude. If I was in America I sure as shit wouldn’t be leaving to attend a crowded polling station during pandemic times to vote. Esp if I was older/immunocomprimosed

Look at the backlog present within US hospitals ravaged by covid-19. The pandemic is having a pretty bad socioeconomic impact over there despite lockdowns not being properly enforced/enacted.

Think he was being sarcastic.

A shit ton of Republicans did the same thing.

Whoops

I was being sarcastic. I know you’ve said you can’t detect sarcasm easily so don’t worry about it.

  • Each state is its own election.
  • The people of the state voted for their electors (who represent them voting for president) They
have the same number as they have in Congress ie California has 55
  • The electors mostly vote for whom their state has chosen - not doing so is extremely rare, is
mandated by some states by penalty, and iirc been challenged in court
  • These people will be the true and legal voters for President, no one else period.

Any legal action now is contesting whether a state followed all laws and regulations ensuring only legal ballots are counted and approved. Again these counts are for the electors to have the direction on casting their vote.

So the current dispute would only be about the validity of certain votes. Is this right?

If there’s any evidence of illegal ballots, then it should be investigated thoroughly and, if proven, it would render Biden’s Presidency invalid. Why was the dude above talking about the media? That’s what I’m trying to figure out.

Yes on validity and what he’s talking about - Who knows?

Media doesn’t have a thing to do with the legal procedure.

Edit There would have to be quite a few illegal votes to overturn.
If its one here, two there and nothing systemic …

Well, then it’s good that there are some people are kicking up a ruckus at the counting stations so there’s some pressure to investigate since this is the first time you’ve ever used such a system in this kind of numbers.

Unless there’s a giant conspiracy, that’s not going to happen.

Even if there’s fraud, it’s not enough votes.

Psychologically, the fact Trump lost the popular vote is huuuge.

Most people, erroneously, think that winning via electoral college votes but losing the popular vote is winning on a “technicality” anyway. So, no large popular outcry even if there are proven minor irregularities.

So it’s mostly all fine. Your vote for Trump didn’t go to waste as it contributed to Biden not winning by a landslide.

Absolutely.

Florida had the infamous Bush/Gore disaster, and now their voting system is top notch -they have a very large population there and the count is super fast and accurate according to what I heard.

Honestly, if you promised me the Republicans would retain senate majority, I would’ve just abstained.

I you gave me Biden in 2016, I would’ve voted for him.

To clarify, I thought Trump would be a disaster. But it turned out only his rantings and ramblings were disastrous.

I just want Hollywood movies to go back to normal. Before every fucking movie wanted to be like Rogue One. A Biden landslide would have made them double down on all of this SJW shit.

EDIT:

And to be fair, another Trump victory would have obviously had the same effect. Thought that didn’t need to be said but whatever lol.

I have definitely been thinking (and hoping that it will be true) that this might be a side “benefit” of how the elections overall have turned out.

edit: obviously, I mean now they won’t have to, like you’re hoping for

If I see one more Captain Marvel being produced and directed by the same fuckheads who are actually capable of making a really good film like Half Nelson, I’m gonna FLIP OUT.

I don’t think they ever will at this point. I saw today that people are angry at the new Witches movie for how they portray a disability (the hands of Anne Hathaway’s character). This kind of thing seems to be par for the course for every single movie released now - not enough women, not enough black characters, recasting one ethnicity as another ethnicity, not enough gay and trans representation, casting some “problematic” actor who was accused of something 20 years ago, etc. Then, even if you add enough women/gay/black/trans actors, you’ll get people from the other side saying that the movie is now a SJW political statement and they refuse to watch it.

If Hollywood ever recovers fully from COVID, I imagine they’ll play it safe and continue doing unimaginative remakes and superhero movies for the foreseeable future.

I’m still bitter that they killed off the attractive girl in Rogue One, and then had this totally ill-conceived “romance” thing between the plump, ugly one and the obviously out of her league black dude.

Have you tried Korean dramas? LOL.

Aside from some treat women as equals, and don’t be sexist stuff (which I’m fine with), just good ol’ escapist entertainment.
