I mean it’s possible I guess but I just don’t see it. I think he’ll do something media wise. Maybe take over Rush Limbaugh’s spot? Start his own media channel? Pretty much just do rallies and pocket the money?
I’ve got to think the GOP is hoping he disappears quietly. Well at least as quietly as possible for him.

He absolutely could I just don’t really see it happening. I mean the Dems would absolutely love him dividing the GOP. Him running again or causing havoc within the party is pretty much the dream scenario for Dems.
As an independent he would be even less likely to win and I think his run would almost be tied to his thought on if he could win. Though he could just make running his next Trump Vodka, Trump steaks, or University and use it to try and make money.
This is all I could find. Looking at the choice to only show scenes from close ups, it shows that that’s only a very small group of people. I guess going crazy is mostly a thing from Left.
It’s just really not that close at this point. I think plenty of his supporters are still holding on to some hope but most of my Facebook friends are Trump supporters and they’ve largely accepted it. Now they are sharing stuff like I trust in Jesus memes. Or saying something like the media got this so wrong or something it was way closer than they thought.

I think one thing that helps is this has been spread out over a number of days. So losing side has had time to slowly accept it.
Covid helps as well not a lot of people want to go out.

Tbh I don’t think the vast majority of the left or the right have a predispensity towards rioting or inciting chaos. We are looking at extremes when it comes to rioting, looting etc.
I think the majority want relative peace, rather the way someone goes about achieving/what constitutes the “American dream” differs.
Did you see the footage of the mass protests after Trump’s win last election? It was on every news channel. All wide shots so you see the magnitude of the protests.
From the movie thread, you’re familiar with how movies are shot, right? You should be able to tell that they aren’t using wide shots here only because they want to create the illusion of a large crowd.
I know this from all the Hallmark movies I watch, where there’s supposed to be a whole town of people watching a christmas tree lighting.

Yeah it certainly wasn’t a priority. Trump has had an obsession about crowd size ever since they got called out over lying about having a bigger inauguration than Obama which wasn’t even remotely true.
It did provide a bit of a contrast though in terms of who was taking the pandemic seriously. At the same time Dems not knocking on doors could be part of the reason they underperformed expectations.
It will be hard to draw significant conclusions since the run up to this election is just so unprecedented. It’s part of the reason why I never felt super confident about a Biden landslide though I thought it was more likely than the opposite. Simply so many unknowns when having an election in the midst of coronavirus

I made my call on the Biden win based on how Trump was ruining his campaign by doing what Hilary was doing in 2016. Only bashing Biden and not focusing on what he can do positively for the people like in the previous election. Didn’t believe there would be a landslide since Biden’s own campaign sucked.
