I would think the courts would make that decision based on whether they think there was illegal balloting vs merely sloppy counting conjecture. But I don’t know.
@H_factor maybe Trump is more fearful of facing the legal system. They and 1/2 the population wants his head on a pike. That would be a powerful motivator for staying in office if possible.

Yeah I got that. I’m expecting the same sort of scenario with the parties reversed, hopefully it doesn’t get any crazier than already is and has been but I’m not counting on it.
When you really look at it, Trump’s main obstacle to getting re-elected is himself. A different candidate with the same policies but able to handle himself better would have had much better odds of winning.
Maybe, maybe not. Many people vote for Trump precisely because of the way he handles himself - they eat it up. A lot of these folks were first-time voters in 2016 and most likely voted for him again this year. Hard to say if a watered down Trump nets more votes than the genuine article.
Would those same people not have voted for someone else with the same policies? The vast majority of criticisms of Trump that I have heard and seen have to do with various comments and behaviour over the years.
How about this, are there any former Democrat voters who voted Republican in the last two elections just because they like Trump’s personality? I suppose it’s possible, but that doesn’t make it any less absurd.

It doesn’t matter if people are adopting the root of his ideology. Different countries adapted it in differing ways to suit their cultures while using the root of the ideology(The Cultural Revolution) and they all ended in disaster.
While I don’t think Bernie is a real socialist, when the word gets normalized, people start thinking socialism is a good idea. Then they read more about real socialism and go down the rabbit hole. Then you get the crazy wannabe Marxist-Leninists and identity politics nonsense.

That’s precisely why he lost. It is incredibly rare to unseat a presidential incumbent. Trump lost because he was Trump. He had a political layup in coronavirus and absolutely failed over and over again.
It didn’t even matter if he did the wrong things. Trying to do stuff consistently and not attacking doctors and scientists is so simple. Providing consistent messages of unity in the midst of a crisis is so simple. But he could never do those easy things and the fatigue of him certainly hurt him.
When even right leaning people on this message board are saying he’s nauseating you know it’s real.
But I honestly don’t think he can help it. Narcissism, serial lying, and childish behavior is just who he is. And after four years more people were tired of it than not. Biden flipped the states he needed and depending on how a few shake out more than enough on top of them.
