There is no evidence on any level to suggest widespread voter fraud has occurred. On the contrary extensive voter suppression via relocating polling stations, passing new, extremely stringent voter ID laws etc have been pushed by the GOP.
Extensive voter suppression yet Trump still lost the election, so now it’s gotta be fraud right? What’s even more concerning, half of republicans polled believe Trump won the election. Some lunatic aquaintences I went to school with in the USA are rambling on about the “lamestream media” and “mark my words, Trump will run a second term. He’s won and you’d have to be a moron to think otherwise”.
It’s amazing how a certain demographic are so hellbent on denying/refuting facts and instead prefer bullshit conspiracy theories as to cater towards their fantasy narrative.

While I am still days behind on this thread… This is something I am pretty sensitive to. I don’t necessarily agree with people who talk about that. But you’ll notice I very rarely if ever tell one of the posters more conservative than me that their concerns about democracy coming under attack are paranoid. The only way we keep our representative government intact it to have some degree of antennae open at all times regardless of party affiliation.

He secured the win for Biden and then right before he fixed the house and senate Hunter came in a drug fueled craze and stole his laptop claiming his other one got taken by a MAGA guy.

My Trump supporting acquaintances are somewhere between depression and acceptance at this point, but let’s say you’re a Trump supporter entertaining all this… At some point your brain has to reject this bullshit, right? The incongruity between reality and what Trump’s crack team of lawyers is serving up is just too much, right? Secret Army raids in Germany? Trump won California and 410 electoral votes? Crazy. But, it will be interesting to see just how long and far some folks are willing to suspend disbelief.
You can’t help but wonder the end game is for these lawyers. I think Giuliani is just desperate to hold onto any kind of relevance. My guess for Sidney Powell is that she has political ambitions and rightly sees that Trump will be a Republican kingmaker when he’s out of office.

This cannot be stated enough. Bias is real, has always been real, and likely will always be there. But that’s why God gave us brains and the ability to use them. As far as I am aware this sort of almost nihilistic, “everything is biased equally so it doesn’t matter” outlook is a very recent phenomenon. And it is dangerous.

I have done my absolute best to eliminate myself from all political mailing lists and I STILL get asinine volumes of (snail) mail, including at least two email lists that I have unsubscribed from multiple times without effect.
Just like Trump wouldn’t be such an easy target for the press since he says and tweets so much stupid shit all the time, the press wouldn’t be able to be discredited if they didn’t spin so much bullshit either.
You want a free and honest press, you need to call them out when they’re being dishonest regardless of whether they’re on your side or not. You don’t do that, people just seek alternative media. You can’t assume people are mouth breathing morons for doing that if they’re smart enough to see all the spin in the mainstream media. It’s a sign of a real problem with the media that needs to be resolved by people on all sides.
And it’s redundant to even bring up someone like Alex Jones since calling him out would be a waste of time as he appeals mainly to a particular demographic that includes people who think the earth is flat, but instead give him more exposure through word of mouth.
That’s how people who deliberately make provocative statements get their audience. You’re doing the advertising for them by bringing them up just to discredit them.
The mainstream media, like Reuters - a multi billion dollar corporation - have ample budgets to advertise themselves. These youtube bums don’t. Just fucking ignore them and half of them will just go away.
