You would need to have the courage to meet them which would require the courage to leave the basement.

I thought this was funny (the Onion).
It merely shows the lengths people will do go to defend this man, @deandre_va_der_saar.
In addition to what you point out, let me add that you will never, ever change anyone’s mind who can somehow draw moral equivalents between a list of President Obama’s “evil-speaks” and the never-ending list of Trump’s condescending, vitriolic, abusive, vindictive, and venomous public proclamations and tweets.
The man is currently spitting on one of the very bedrocks of our Constitutional Republic, and is putting that Republic in a precarious International Position because of his infantile tantrums at losing an election, and what do you get?
Either defense of his actions; silence; or a list of “Obama-what-about-ism’s”.
It all defies understanding to me. @deandre_va_der_saar…
Agree.
(See my statement above, @dcb…what is going on defies understanding…)
Why would I want to be around them? I’d just pass it on to them via the overseers or, maybe, the house POCs.

I don’t get it either.
It’s like a weird sort of tribalism, similar to, say, a football fan who sees player from the team he’s rooting for diving, and says the ref should have called for a penalty kick, even though all the replays clearly show there was no contact, and the player didn’t even fell inside the penalty area.
Damm the replays, it was a penalty kick and WE WERE ROBBED!!!
PS: When I wrote football I meant that sport where you use a ball and your feet to play it.
There’s also a huge difference between a campaign promise that turns out not to come to fruition and an outright lie about what’s going on right now.
These are all campaign promises that I’m sure each candidate fully intended to follow through on but were met with obstructions that prevented them. I’m OK with that as you’ve got to stand on something and have a platform if you’re running for election.
But flat out lying about what’s going on right under our noses as Trump has been doing about this election is a different animal and it’s dangerous to our country. This whataboutObama stuff is bullshit. When Obama talked about manhood, he didn’t bring himself up, he brought up classic American archetypes that we all know about and can relate to.
Having said that, Presidents of both parties have always acted like men during the transfer of power.
Hell, Trump isn’t even acting like an adult. He’s tossing his toys out of the crib because he’s not getting what he wants. There’s irony in the fact that there are people on this forum defending Trump’s behavior. It’s been a long time since there were regular Atomic Dog columns but Trump’s behavior embodies the opposite of what those articles espoused. I understand supporting his policies in part or whole, but his character and behavior are some of, if not the worst we’ve ever seen in modern American politics.
As a former swimmer, I approve this cartoon. Bonus for the water wings and artistic rendition, rather than an actual photo…
Watched an event on tv this week, where there were races held in 9? venues and times compared for placings.
As a former swimmer
I have the absolute worst radar for ex swimmers. I swear swimmers end up being the most diverse group of people- there is no stereotypical ex swimmer haha.
Of all the school sports, swimming wrestling and baseball have by far the most carryover to your post 18yr old life. And of those, swimming has the most. Being 100% comfortable and functional in the water opens up a whole new world.
There’s also a huge difference between a campaign promise that turns out not to come to fruition and an outright lie about what’s going on right now.
- Read my lips, no new taxes - GHW Bush in 88’
- If you like your plan, you can keep it - Obama in 08’
- I’m going to repeal Obamacare - Trump 16’
These are all campaign promises that I’m sure each candidate fully intended to follow through on but were met with obstructions that prevented them. I’m OK with that as you’ve got to stand on something and have a platform if you’re running for election.
Exactly. This is something anyone reasonable - REASONABLE - can understand.
But then you have the “I’m going to build a wall, and Mexico is going to pay for it” type statemens, which is in a league of it’s own as far as campaign promises go, as I have some doubts that Trump intended to keep that promise.
I thought about using the wall quote, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump actually thought that he might make that happen back then as ridiculous as it sounded. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Swimming
Plus it helps you develop mad fighting skillz. Defending a 5’9" 140# type l carcass honed by 10 miles/day of swimming against brutish football players and mean girl volleyballers.
I’m glad you’re a strong swimmer, because there’s a gigantic red wave coming.
Most red states have an awfully… boyuant… populace, so I’m sure it’ll work out.
Why would I want to be around them?
Yeah. You. Avoid. Them.
Throw enough lawsuits to delay things and win by other means seems to be the current Trump strategy. Best of luck to them.

Looks like they are trying to just recount counties in Wisconsin that went decidedly Biden. At least they aren’t pretending that they are actually interested in seeking that everything was done properly everywhere. Much like the GOP attacking Harris county the issue is with votes that go towards Democrats. Not with voting.
How much evidence would it take for you to believe the election was stolen? Or would no amount of evidence matter to you?
