Bill Maher sums up why the Democrats had such a terrible election day except for the Presidential vote. He’s been on this track for a long time but I think he does this one exceptionally well.

It’s a matter of public record…are you denying that the cases so far aren’t real? We’ve posted numerous ones in this very thread. I’m not surprised to see that far right websites aren’t printing when Trump loses lawsuits though. Reality denial is super in. Trump fans don’t want to read that his lawyer said they have no proof of fraud. They would rather read something else that confirms the election was rigged against him.

I think you’re right - Trump has somehow pulled off this blind loyalty that much more closely resembles cult worship than supporting a political figure. I also realize this is not the case for most Trump voters who simply prefer his politics over Biden’s. But, man, I am shocked at the reality-shifting Universe some of his most ardent followers are living in.

There’s nothing dramatic about it - they just have to head off the anger from siphoning off money from MAGA on the pretense of a legitimate legal challenge to the election. If they don’t get MAGA nation mad at the lawyers, MAGA nation will get mad at them.
(Or there’s a chance of it, cultists aren’t known for being rational, maybe they wouldn’t. But Trump needs them to make money post-presidency, and he can’t risk having his “customers” have a moment where it dawns on them the legal challenege was all theater.)
He’s correct, but I doubt the DNC will listen. They have a majority as narrow as a bee’s dick, and so the progressive caucus will run the show.
That’s my guess anyway. Maybe Biden is a Neil Kinnock, but I somewhat doubt it, even if he does steal the man’s speeches.
So it looks like the DNC may have a 5 majority when this all shakes out. That is going to be like herding cats. Ryan couldn’t manage a 20 majority, but maybe whichever speaker emerges will have enough influence to break kneecaps to get the votes.

This guys has the gift of really pinpointing and criticising the really un-PC shit concisely while not going past the line that gets one cancelled. Or are his scripwriters just really good? Don’t know but that was a great video.
Trump does tend to sound like he’s speaking in tongues at times.
Not only has he drawn the ire of the cancel culture brigade but he has in fact been canceled before.
