Hi friends.
Listen Ill keep this quick and to the point.
The last time one of my employers paid me, they accidently paid me twice.
It was a substantial amount(more than 10,000).
The book-keeping lady had called me and asked me to return the money, which I said I would, but I never did. That was 4 months ago. I think they have forgotten about it. Im about to send them a invoice for my next pay check(im a contract worker).

Dilemma is: do I admit to them that I owe them money? Or should I say nothing and see if I get away with it?
I like working with this bunch, but I dont see any future progression with this company.
I need to make a decision soon.
Help.

All work we do, we ultimately do for G-d. Are you OK with stealing from Him?

Set off the amount they pre-paid you on your invoice, clearly setting out the check.

“Do not steal” is in the top 10, and applies to all peoples.

G-D must be a nice pimp, otherwise he will extract your teeths.

After I got out of the army they paid me about $1000 (Canadian…about $800US at that time I guess) for an exercise I didn’t even go on as I’d already gotten out.
So I asked my mom what to do. She said cash the check. I did and nothing bad ever happened. Stupid of me, but somehow I felt OK because my mom said do it.

I guess what I think we can learn from my story is, ask your mom.
I think what we learned is that when in doubt, ask Nards’ mom.

A guy paif me twice on ebay twice for a cell phone around $800 instead of $400. Im guessing he sent it twice through paypal. I withdrew it and kept it for 3 months. The dumb son of a bitch didn’t notice by then so i spent it on hoes. Well not on hoes but i spent it. At the end of the day you snooze you loose!

However in this case, i’d definitely give it back.

Keep it so you can buy yourself some common sense.

I say BILL THEM DOUBLE Everytime! Two invoices for every job!

woohooo

Are you a fucking child or a professional?

It’s a small world. Don’t fuck up your reputation.

what poncedeleon said, right or wrong doesn’t matter as much as you losing business in the future.

You guys SHhhhhhhhhhhh! Jax has a brilliant brilliant plan.

Cool story bro…you must be like the coolest bro telling stories ever!

Hi friends.
Thanks for all of your “kind” advice. I have decided to return the money, even though the boss
is a douchebags and I dont really want to work with them anyway.

I had called the book keeping lady to explain, only to be told
she is away for holidays in the USA.(probally to try your burger
and pizza places, as she has that for lunch everyday(she also
likes doughnuts)).

Should I wait for the book keeping lady to return from her eating binge holiday,
or should I tell the boss, who Im not in th good books with (as I recently had to cancel
some work with him at the last moment and apparently his pissed off at me).

Dreaming of hookers and cocaine.

Take it and give it to charity.

I was going to give half of it to charity if I was to keep the cash. The boss inherited the
multi-million dollar business. Fair enough he has worked hard to keep the business growing etc, but
it was tempting to play the modern day Robin Hood, as I have always believed I was.

Update: called up the accounts department and no one is in there today that
could help me. So im going to call on Monday and ask for the bank details and return the money.
I dont think it will give me the same warm fuzzzy feeling of returning someones wallet/phone that
has been accidently left somewhere, but Im going to do it anyway.

Canada has an army?
Not any more now that I’m out. I was the one man army.

Fuck I really wanna shoot this bird…

Personally I wouldn’t really bother calling accounts and chatting with them, I’d just give them a $10,000 credit on the next bill. I’d probably also give them a credit for some interest on the payment as a nice show of faith too.

Thats a good idea. But theres no way Im giving them any credit for interest. These guys make this
sort of money in profit every 1-2 days.
