Wonder what the dicussion on the last lift was? Hard to belive the C&J is creeping upon 600#.
They gave him a no-lift due to a soft left elbow on the jerk. His team contested it and the judges gave Lasha a good lift after some consideration.
I think he’s going for the mythical 500kg total. He’s still young. 2.5kg on the snatch and 6 kg on the clean and jerk and he’ll have it.
Then I hope he goes into strongman.

This would ordinarily be a 10’s day, but I’m going 60% volume for deload. 6’s days will be at 80% intensity.
Note to self:
I really have to learn that more is not better; better is better. Too much volume is actually counter-productive.
If I make a deload an actual deload, I will improve in strength and size. The extra recovery days I’ve gotten over the last few weeks have resulted in size gains which can be turned into strength gains.
I only need the basics right now, as I’m barely an intermediate lifter.

Felt pretty good tonight. Maybe yesterday’s light work helped recovery.
Tried to come down with some illness yesterday. Runny nose, sore throat, incipient ear ache.
Pounded down 10000IU Vit D, some C and zinc, along with a double helping of fresh, homemade chicken soup, heavily salted. Then went to bed early.
Symptoms gone today.
It was the Jewish Penicillin cured you. Filipinos would of covered you in Vicks. Cut your hand off, put vicks on it! Hope you have a good New Years.
