I agree.

I wish they would have shown more angles of it… like a side camera… You can’t say that’s a goal though, you don’t know how far back the bottom edge of lundquist’s pad is… which is essentially why they couldn’t call it a goal. That was totally Lundquist’s fault too.

Especially after he’s seen what’s happened to other goalies during the playoffs get some weird bounces, and make some bad plays… he does NOT need to come out of the net with 20 seconds left.

Exactly! It’s as if he knows the game is in the bag so he lets his guard down.

You gotta play to the buzzer!

Holy crap, the goal posts are playing better than Emery this evening… let’s hope it’s only short term!

Alright, tonight Sharks vs Wings! This should be a rough game! Either Wings go home 2-2 or Sharks take the lead at 3-1. Either way, should be some blood on the boards.

GO SHARKS!

Sens put a stranglehold on the series. I wasn’t paying super close attention, but it’ll be a miracle if the Devils can win 3 in a row. Spezza is on fire and Emery was as good as he had to be.

Yeah, Wings n Sharks game 4 up next. No idea what to predict there.

Wings tie it with 33 left. Now comes the blood on the boards.

Tribulus is jumping up and down somewhere, lol

OVERTIME, damnit 30 seconds left… well thats just how this series is, there will be NO easy win

WOOOOOOHOOOOHOOOO!!!

Schneider wins it in OT!!!

I’m sick of SJ blowing it at the end of the game. They no longer deserve to beat Detroit. The Ducks have a tendency to do the same thing and I used up all of my patience on them.

I can’t quite cheer for Detroit, but I’m no longer cheering for SJ.

At least I still have the Ducks and whoever is playing Ottawa. :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree with SJ blowing leads late, I mean nabokiv (spell?) let a goal go in with what 8 seconds left in the 2nd period? and 33 left in the 3rd?

he has let atleast 3-4 goals happen this playoffs with less than a 1 minute left in a period

You have probably guessed that I am decidedly NOT sick of it. Come on though, the Wings earned that win even with the bullshit DOG call. The Sharks got one of their goals with too many men on the ice so it evens out.

You may have noticed that Ottawa is perfectly positioned to advance to conference finals. They are clearly out playing NJ, despite the heroics of Brodeur.

The goal at the end of the third was a bit soft, but the real breakdown was Guerin and Marleau pinching for the open netter instead of covering Filpula who got the pass to the attacking Robert Lang. Something both of them should know better than, especially in the playoffs.

The OT goal was a deflection of a very hard Schneider slapper which can’t really be blamed on Nabokov. You could fault Hannon I suppose for not getting the clear high enough on the PK, but he did do the right thing if he would’ve just gotten it up a bit more.

What a game!!
Hopefully the tide has turned to the Wings favor. I can’t see how it wouldn’t. Although, the Wings had peppered the goal and outshot SJ again last night. Throw enough at the net and it’s bound to go in.

Despite all the talk I can’t help suspecting the Sharks have been subconsciously underestimating the Wings.

Vancouver is finally showing some life.

EDIT: Ties it late in the third.

EDIT 2: OT up next

Letting in goals with less than a minute left isn’t just a reflection of the tendy.

I see what your saying, I don’t know hockey as good as most of you guys but it makes sense.

Detriot deserved the win for sure! I didn’t mean to imply that at all, just a little venting… The Sharks just seem to let up their guard a little bit towards the end of periods which you just can’t do.

No need to be apologetic dude. The Sharks do seem to have a post season habit of trying to sit on small leads waaaay to early in games and underestimating their opponents refusal to go away.

In the case of the tying goal the other night Marleau and Guerin were trying to get the puck free hoping for a shot into the open net. Actually Lang was the one they left open in so doing. Even coach Wilson said the positioning was poorly thought out. Actually he was much less gracious than that.

You cannot allow a team, especially one who’s scored late on you once already, into your zone when they have an extra attacker with the series hanging in the balance like that. The Sharks had what essentially amounted to a 40 second penalty kill left between them and having a deathgrip on the series and instead decided to go for the more grandiose empty net clincher which left room for enemy operations in their zone.

I’m also not dogging the Sharks who are a formidable opponent, but Guerin and Marleau are 10 and 15 year vets who have been around long enough to know better.

Nabokov can’t be happy about that goal as he’d made much tougher stops all night, but if the play hadn’t been allowed to develop in the first place he probably doesn’t even face that chance.
