YEAH!!! you called it Datsyuk puts em up by one!!!
I don’t know about that last call.
Over time…I can hardly sit still.
Anaheim wins in OT.
Stretch that series out so that whoever Ottawa plays will be tired!!!
Pistons lost.
Red Wings lost.
Tigers lost.
Blah! ![]()
At least my Padres won today. ![]()

Half of my post was going to carve S.Neds for not doing anything in the playoffs except give up pucks, but (much like the last game against Vancouver) once again he comes through (thereby staving off the criticism for another 48 hours).
I still think that Detroit has this series for one main reason: the Ducks PK.
You can finish first in your division while being the most penalized team in the league when your PK really does kill. For some reason, against the Wings, it doesn’t. Quite the opposite.
Also, I’ve said it before, but where’s Selanne? You can’t finish 3rd in scoring and have an all-star on your line, and then not produce in the playoffs. Is he even on the ice?
BTW-Canada. World Champs.

I’m standing by my previous statement that the mental game will ultimately determine who advances out of this series.
Anaheim,s special teams in general are not clicking. Abysmal PP, in fact we have 2 shorthanded and yeah their PK is allowing us too much.
Selanne can “Finnish” (I made a funny) where he wants as long as he doesn’t find his game during this series =] Pronger hasn’t been invisible, but not as scary as I thought he would be.
One thing about the Wings run to this point is that they have minimized the best players our opponents have to a large degree. Some, though Dave would never do this, would argue that they just haven’t shown up. Either way I hope it continues.
Still no score early in the second.
It’s strange, being so confident in the penalty killing… so far anyway. I’m almost expecting a shorthanded goal.

What’s happening? I’m at work damnit!
Edit: Never mind, I just found this:
I am going to go ahead and declare Buffalo finished. Not necessarily just because of how they are or are not playing though that is a major factor.
They are frustrated and demoralized and nothing is bouncing their way. That’s not even mentioning the fact that Ottawa is simply not going to let them out of this series. I’ll be shocked if the Sabres can come back.
The scores do not tell the story, the play does.
1-0 Ottawa after 2
Sweep?
Ouch, if they weren’t demoralized before, they are now.
Shutout for Emery!
i may get to shave soon
Half way through the first, game 3. The Wings look strong everywhere except actual scoring chances. Hasek is sharp as usual.

Emery was amazing last night as was Miller who looks to be another goalie to go down with his ship along with Kippur, Luongo, Turco, who else?
2-0 Wings after one. Weird game. Babcock is juggling lines pretty heavy.
