Ok, I found this article through a friend, and first off, I am no scientist, but I am also no idiot, I know the basic laws of physics…, all I ask is to read this article and tell me what you think. Anyone heard of it, is it a joke…?
Won’t work.
Every year, two or three of those announcements come out and then are forgotten as they turn out to be BS. Last year it was BlackLight or somesuch name…
The usual modus operandi is to claim a revolutionary method that “defies” science as we know it; then file a bunch of patents and get some investors on board. Claim to be harassed by “the establishment” etc; milk the scheme for all it’s worth.

What do they get out of it? Just curious, is it the publicity? Don’t they just ruin their name? I don’t get it
Dude you’re posting this question on the wrong message board… although I don’t doubt that a fair number of people here find this interesting, including myself, you probably are not going to get any legitimate scientific responses.
I did check the article out though and it was written in a very general format such that one probably cannot make any claims regarding its truth or legitimacy form reading it alone. It sounds nice in principle, having a machine ingest wind, have it power magnets and somehow produce more energy, but that’s all the article has. I am sure however that some other message board related to physics has enormous discussions pertaining to this work, so I would look elsewhere.

Like I said, I am no scientist, and posted it because I found it was an interesting read…the answers I would get on a scientific board would probably be over my head anyway…but wait are you saying that weightlifters are stupid? (grunts angry and beats his chest)
Scientifically, there’s really nothing here to have an opinion about. While it’s possible that the laws of conservation are incorrect, this article doesn’t give any indication as to why that would be so. Talk of rotating magnets, secret diagrams and the usual “we can’t tell you how it works” cop-out certainly offer no insight into whether these guys have stumbled onto something important or not.
If they say they’re “creating energy”, I call shenanigans. If they say they’ve found a way to utilize magnetics to build an ultra-efficient energy system, I’d say it’s possible but not really worth dicussing until there’s some actual science to look at.
I created cold fusion in my bath tub.

Generally, it’s not by people who have much of a name to ruin anyway. Often, it’s by self-taught scientist who’ve long stopped doing anything you could call science.
If you search the web for “free energy” you’ll find many websites where you can invest now to make it big when the technology becomes commonplace. So they get money out of it.
By the way, did any of guys remember the thread by that guy who wanted to create energy by connecting car batteries to a generator or something like that, I can’t really remember…but I remember that it was really funny.
Cold fusion is that right? In your bathtub…ok that is enough scientific evidence for me, where can I invest?
I am up way to late…
But if you’re into accustic guitar, then go to Youtube and type “Tommy Emmanuel”, just discovered him, awesome, beautiful.
That was random, but who cares…I hate distant relationships!!!
Sorry

Do a search for the thread again and actually read it. I am not sticking up for the guy, but he never made any claims about creating energy, he was just trying to make a generator use a little less petrol.

Thats right, he didn’t claim to “create Energy”, but his set up implied it as far as I remember. But I might be wrong.

Too bad, kid. I published my cold fusion experimental design last month in “The Journal of Irreproducible Results” , 2006, 18(2) 1972-1995
World Patent WO1995687
And I did it in the kitcken sink.
Wouldn’t this be almost the same idea of some of the bullet trains that run on reversed polarity electro magnets? If you had a circlar track surrounded by correctly places magnets that “pushed” a magnet on a fixed circular track wouldn’t it be possible to create energy if the magnet was large enough?

Electro magnets require electricity to run (hence the name) and the amount of electricity required to run the train will always exceed whatever energy you manage to extract from it.
My only guess is that their definition of efficiency is rather skewed. In any closed system there must be a conservation of energy, but if you’re not considering all of the “inputs” or you’re neglecting loss of potential energy or something, it may appear that you’ve gained energy when in reality this is not possible.
If these guys knew anything about entropy or the quality or energy (i.e. thermodynamics 101) they’d understand that the former always increases in an isolated system and the latter always decreases. In any real-life process, a certain amount of energy will become unusable for the rest of time.
What a crock, let’s see a “motor” turns the magnets. So what powers the motor? Of course, must be another free energy motor. The analogy of gaining energy was the proof of the B.S. If one walks to the top a hill then back down, they gain energy, yup sure they have potential energy at the top of the hill. How did they gain it? Expending kinetic energy, unless someone/thing (“motor”) carried them up the hill.
Walking down the hill also requires energy as well, even if one rolled down. Then it’s back to where’s the original energy come from to power that “motor”.
One must “register” to see all the details of this “free energy”. One of the jokers feels the best thing is that his cell phone charging will be easier or eliminated, haha. I’m sure that’s why he developed it.
The final proof that this is bogus is the fact that these guys are still alive. What goverment and or big oil would allow this to destabilize the balance of power if was real? This is one of the theories put forth by the conspirecy crowd.
Guess we’ll find out on Sept 12, of all days, not the 11th of course, but close enough.
Some people claim this is viral marketing for a computer game.
