I just read @TrainForPain post about the 10K swings and it reminded me of “what brought me to the dance” in the first place.
Big time strength and explosive power and an ugly gas tank built on work ethic and not technique.

While I’ve got a bit of down time between selection I think it’s time to get unkillable again.

  1. Hang clean 8x2 W 65kg
  2. Front squat build to 3RM W 5 second eccentric 110kg (9rpe) then 97.5kg for 2x3

Wasn’t really sure how the squats would go today, haven’t had a ‘heavy’ barbell on my back for high reps in what feels like ages. I think 5x10 at 140kg is a realistic stretch goal

45 minutes just chipping away in a 10kg weight vest.

Low impact way to keep the HR at 155bpm and get some blood in the legs/arms/back

Think I partially tore my left hip flexor on the SSB Bulgarians. Made an audible pop and then just felt…funny…no shooting pain, swelling or bruising. A bit stiff and sore today but doesn’t thankfully feel like anything serious.
The sound though…hell it was loud.
