Understanding Tipping
Christine wrote: I’m not a server either. I am just smart enough not to order things that I need to have cooked to exact specifications. You, are insane.

See, when I eat out, I never ask for substitutions (other than maybe a side salad instead of fries). I never make special requests.

If I like the meal as prepared, I may go back.

If I don’t like the meal as prepared, I don’t go back.
Most people don’t feel that way honestly. Do you see the parking lots, even during the work week even? They are FILLED at Outback, Chili’s, Applebee’s for example, especially Outback.

A lot of people order steaks in all honesty and they want it cooked a certain way, could be medium rare, medium well, well done, etc.

That’s you, I ALWAYS and 99.9% of the time ALWAYS make special requests, substitutions, etc. I would NEVER want to eat out if I couldn’t have it the way I want it.

If you don’t like the meal the way it’s prepared you don’t go out, SO FUCKING WHAT? I DO, SOOOO? I get it the way *I want it. You are too chicken shit to ask for what you want. HOW STUPID ARE YOU?

I can’t do it better at home. Even others that cook at home that have made home cooked food most of the time aren’t as good as restaurant food I find in MY OPINION that is.

That’s not us though. We just tipped on a 44.55 cent check $11. We aren’t broke. The server was wonderful.

You are lying. And its my understanding welfare is easy to “earn”
Springs1 wrote:

That’s because I PROVED YOU THE HELL WRONG!!
You clearly don’t grasp reality, do you?

How did you prove me wrong? Your entire 3000 word response was just one giant accusation that I was a lazy server expecting automatic, high tips…when I am not, nor have ever been a server…so again, how did you prove me wrong?

You do realize that if you had just stated the simple fact, “Good service=good tip, bad service=bad/no tip”, not only would people not hate you, but you’d actually have some of us, myself included, on your side? But, since you cant help but act like a self-important cunt, you get hated…let’s see…you constantly have bad service…you are hated on here, even by those of us that share your core philosophy…yet, ALL of us are the problem…yeah, that makes sense.

Ah, broke and a lousy cook. I see what your problem is.

I admit, I am a bit of a food snob. I don’t eat at chain restaurants if I can help it.

I am a good cook. My mother is a better cook. She can make a five-star, six course meal for twelve to perfection complete with the proper wines accompanying each dish.

EDIT: I don’t eat out all that often simply because I can cook.

Come on …you can admit it…you know you want the server to take charge of you. When you get demanding you want the server to take you by your hair and to your knees. And while he…or perhaps she holds you at their feet. They take the bacon…the wonderful lightly cooked still fatty bacon and rub it all over your body…then make you eat it. All the while your husband looking on. Then the servers take you to the back and in the break room they strip you down and cover you in ranch and a mix of more “special” sauces. Each server using you while you try to make evermore ineffectual demands. Each one of them feeding you a particularly fine dish…undercooked fries, greasy bacon, salad without ranch. Then when you can take it no more they kick you back out to your husband in the dining room where you forevermore be unsatisfied. Never knowing the demanding touch of the server. You will try to hide your pain by making crazy demands but we all know what the demand really is "Take me, use me make me yours.

Don’t worry we won’t judge you.

I voted for her.

I AM NOT LYING ASSHOLE!! We tipped last week when we had perfect service $16 on an almost $62 check.

You have NO CLUE OF WTF you are talking about.

Welfare, NO me and my husband both work, no children either.

MMMMMMMMmmmmm

Nobody with money obsesses over a few bucks for BACON.

I am not broke. I am a lousy cook, so are most people that cook at home. The food at restaurants is better usually because they use the bad grease. For example, at the donut shop I worked at, we used shortening to cook the donuts. That’s not canola oil like a lot of people would use at home.

I obsess about when we were overcharged 2 cents for eggs. We still tipped the waitress 15%, but she could have had 25% if she would have caught the mistake herself instead of been an uncaring and lazy waitress.

The money is not the issue, it’s the LAZY ASS, UNCARING SERVERS are the issue IDIOT. Don’t you get that or what?

chocolate, peanut butter and sex… HEAVEN

For the first time in recent memory, I just left a horrible tip. I’m up in VT and this is my 2nd horrible dinner in two nights. These motherfuckers up here haven’t a god damn clue what service is. The 1st night, I took it on the chin and tipped my standard 20%. Tonite, I was so fucking fed up, I left $5 and change on a $94 bill and I left a note on the slip saying “my apologies, but the service was dreadful” (had to bite some Simon Cowell for this).

The irony? I was asking a salesperson earlier today where people around here worked…what was the basic economy/industry up here. She said the economy was service based.

My ass.

Omg bacon makes me do my happy dance.

Anyone that calls a set of instructions given from the customer “CRAZY DEMANDS” sounds like an UNCARING VERY LAZY EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING. NO instructions are demands. I don’t tell me server “Bitch get me such-n-such” I ask NICELY*** “Can I get a refill” for example or “Can we get the check please” and “thank you” when the bring the items.

I get the principle of it, your hard earned comment is the ringer. Like its a big decision to give up.a.few bucks. You’re a broke ass sleazy slut.
