UN Gun Debate

Someone just called RJ a keyboard warrior…

This thread is officially hilarious.

Uncle Gabby, can you back up what you have said with examples. You are blinded by what you believe is right. In the end the number of dead people and gun related crime proves I am right.
You have also completely ignored many factors that you don’t want to believe exist. You should also re-examine what you type, as you have got to be one of the most self-blinded individuals I’ve ever interacted with. You are completely blinded by your bias and your unwillingness to think that perhaps, just perhaps, other people with viewpoints other than yours could be rational human beings and maybe even right.
AndyG wrote:

I would fucking struggle to buy a gun over here.
Lol, are you serious?

I could have one in my hands within 30 minutes of deciding to buy one.

Maybe for you tough guy. I think most people would struggle. Haven’t heard of many knife massacres. By the way, I’m disturbed that you can buy knives over here that serve no purpose other than as a weapon.

I am disturbed that you feel someone else has the right to tell you that you cannot buy a knife. What kind of sheep are you?

They’ll find out as their Muslim population continues to grow. A madrassa here, a madrassa there, and pretty soon you’ve got a real problem on your hands.

The US has a higher proportion of Muslims than Australia.

I believe they are called Amendments.

Stick to arguing about guns and dont try to argue that Constitutions should never change.

Our Constitution should certainly never be changed by people who do not live in this fucking country. What the hell is wrong with you?

I am not trying to change anything.

I point out the fact that Constitutions change.

I asked the pro-gun people not to rely on the argument of ‘its a Constitutional right’ and that they should actually consider if the Constitution needs changing, i.e. to address the gun issue and not discuss why Constitutions have the power that they do or why Constitutional change should not occur, etc.

What the hell is wrong with you?

Geez, spry! What’s wrong with you? You can’t question whether the founding fuckheads were wrong!

Your level of ignorance is embarrassing.

Haha clever and true.

Fuckin wallaby humping pussies. How dare they have a different opinion to all us big, tough, gun toting, hard men. Fuck 'em. I mean we are American after all and obviously know what’s best for Australian SUBJECTS.
Damn, only needed to change one word to fix that one. I like this guy.

Just to piss off the sissies I’d like to mention that I just got a Bushmaster 50 caliber rifle and put a 4.5 x 30 Bushnell elite 6500 series on it. It’s a mil dot scope and was pretty affordable.

Only bad thing about today was that the local gun dealer was out of ammo. 750 grains at 2850 or so fps and app 12,500 foot pounds of energy that will penetrate 1.8 inches of steel at 100 yards.

And why did I need this? I didn’t I wanted it. and the good ole second amendment says it my inalienable right. Notice the Bill of Rights doesn’t mention anything about 200 mph Corvettes, 250 K worth of bling, or a 150 mph motorcycle.

It’s my right and I think I exercised it pretty well today.

Supposedly they shoot very well, better than the Barrett semi autos at about 1/2 the price.

How’s the recoil. I shot a Barrett a couple of years ago. Loud, but virtually no recoil. Last week I took a ride by the outdoor range/gun shop that had the Barrett for rent and they had closed. Boo.

North of Pottsville by about 15 miles and south of Hazleton by about 15. My local ranger has only 100 yards. I just joined on nnear shamokin that has about 300. Two relatives with farmland will give me about 400 tops. I’m also checking into a range near Williamsport that is supposed to have a 1000 yard range.

The guy was out of ammo! Have to wait until next week. They say on the website it should be about a 243 from the benchrest as a comparison.

I’m near Hershey. My old range near Palmyra goes to 200 yards but I don’t think they allow .50 cal.

I was looking into getting one a few years back but then I started popping out kids.

is your house full of Pottsville Maroons memorabilia?

I can only imagine what would happen if the gov told PA they couldn’t have their guns.

Oh, BTW, many states have less restrictive gun laws than Texas, PA included. Open carry, concealed carry in bars, 30.06 signage not legal just to name a few.

Order a lot.

If they can’t take our weapons, they’ll go after our ammo.

Probably something similar to what happened in Concord, Massachusetts when the government told the colonials they couldn’t have their guns.

Very good thoughts, but you’re preaching to the choir. I read all of Jeff Cooper’s books years ago, along with one interesting survivalist book, The Bad Times Primer. Both prerached about ammo and components.

The Colonel preached about buying double ammo, one for you and one for your friend. your friend was you ammo locker.

I believe in a minimum reserve of 1000 rounds per caliber, with 5-10 thousand 22 long rifle. Ammo is money, it’s easily broked down into various amounts. A case, a box, a cartridge. Also the different calibers. the most expensive ammo I’ve seen is 50 caliber, 338 Lapau magnum, and a few other rifles calibers.

The 50 is out of the question for now, but I did order an 80 pack from Cabelas of 660 grain 50 caliber bmg. I also plan on getting the components for a few hundred reloads also.

Indeed.
