U.S. Hegemony on the Decline

So you think that media and crony capitalists are distracting people from knowing about or experiencing poor living conditions?

Is this correct?

Sorry, my messiah is the lord and savior Jesus Christ

No, I was making a joke and saying that’s ME

You said you have a libertarian streak. I responded saying I don’t think you do… I don’t even think most self identified libertarians are actually libertarians. Libertarianism in it’s truest form has a lot in common with anarchism.

Then I said that was my motto as a joke (the rules for me, not for thee) because I’ve identified as LiBeRtArIaN in the past.

I also take a few things away from libertarianism. I cherry pick the parts I like and dump the rest. As a pure political philosophy it just can’t work…

Me to. I was seduced by that garbage political philosophy. I do still agree with their drug and anti-war policies.

I realize not ALL Trump supporters are deranged lunatics but some of them, man!

They certainly do their best. Do they not try and deflect people from looking at important issues and to focus on things that have less importance in their lives, like Mr. Potatohead?

Crony capitalists is an interesting term as it is the natural outcome of capitalism.

Okay and how many countries have China invaded? Are their invasions as numerous as the U.S.? Is there more hatred for a country that invades others, under the guise of spreading democracy, kills their people and steals their resources OR hatred for a country that has border disputes?

They’ve also claimed land previously belonging to the Philippines and all of these countries controlled by the Turks.

Yeah, let’s. Africa is joining forces in many ways with China and rejecting the U.S. South Africa has joined BRICS and many other countries in Africa have better diplomatic relations with China than they do with America. Guess that good ole’-fashioned U.S. imperialism is getting old and wearing thin.

Diplomatic way of saying “Becoming their little bitch”

Now the guy’s got Paulie as a partner. Any problems, he goes to Paulie. Trouble with a bill, he can go to Paulie. Trouble with the cops, deliveries, Tommy, he can call Paulie. Now the guy’s gotta come up with Paulie’s money every week, no matter what. Business bad? F** you, pay me. Oh, you had a fire? F*** you, pay me. The place got hit by lightning, huh? F*** you, pay me.*

And how many of these countries invaded China first? Does the list you posted compare to the list of countries invaded by America?

I’m gonna go ask the Tibetan refugees down the street which one is worse, US or China.

Be right back…

Who needs to invade other countries when you can commit atrocities towards your own citizens?

I’m sure there’s a Vietnamese restaurant somewhere near you - go there and ask them what they think about the Chinese invasion of 1979 and tens of thousands of Vietnamese dead.

I’m a little late to the party, but I want to point out that BRIC or BRICS (if you think South Africa is important) is an idea that was created observationally by academics. It’s not any sort of official alliance or agreement between those countries. It was just someone who decided to lump together a few non-US powers. And while they collaborate, they are also frequently at odds with each other and all have also collaborated with the US at various times. Brazil, India, and South Africa are not really openly antagonistic towards the US in any particular way. Russia and China have escalated tensions with the US recently, but it’s not like that’s going super well for them.

Oh really! Who escalated with who first?

All part of the declining U.S. “influence” in the world.
Russia and China getting together is not good for the U.S. The U.S. is beginning to fade from the world stage while Russia and China are starting to rise.

How about I ask citizens of all the countries the U.S. has invaded?
