Sounds like the U.S.
Because parents going bankrupt trying to save their own child is awesome. Who could think this system is awful with all the deaths it causes. Tens of thousands of people dying each year because they can’t afford “healthcare”. Whatever makes the most profit is what is pushed. And let’s not forget about the price-gouging. We have Moderna increasing the cost of their vaccine by 400 percent. These people ought to be spending the rest of their miserable lives behind bars. They are fucking sociopaths!
Which the U.K. is socialized medicine and is often rated at the top or in first place in studies. But somehow YOU have experienced the opposite. Like everyone else on this forum claims. Just something that is quite noticeable. A study that takes into account everything in the system says the opposite of what people on this forum claim. A group of indoctrinated people by the outlandish claims of a for-profit system who have their egos tied to defending this garbage system we have in this country.
Welcome to capitalism!
Sure is. The wealth gap is evidence of this. Concentration of power is another awesome feature. People going bankrupt trying to save their child. I could go on and on but will stop here.
The private “healthcare” industry does not want public healthcare to be funded. They want it to fail so it helps justify their existence.
All provided by the natural lurch of capitalism’s greed.
As if the production of cars is comparable to something that has life and death consequences.
And I’m not surprised by your sophomoric and sloppy thinking. While I seemingly want to take responsibility for something I had no personal hand in(slavery), I don’t want to take responsibility for another thing I had no hand in forming(capitalism). good lord are you a sloppy thinker.
Reparations are the morally right thing to do and watching capitalism cannibalizing itself does bring about a sense of satisfaction.
Yes, do this because productivity gains have been taken away from the workers by the owner class with the help of their puppets in politics.
Says you.
What he said IS true but you can’t handle truth because it goes against your myth of the free market. and that is more important to you than the truth. So keep your head buried in the sand and keep singing loudly so you can’t hear the truth. Keep denying reality for a theory.
You are over 50 and think this is unique to capitalism?
You think this is also unique to capitalism?
Thank you for the laughs this morning.
This happens in Marxism, Communism, feudal societies, monarchies…every f’ing society there has ever been.
Holy shit the amount of willful cognitive dissonance here…
Have you ever experienced “socialized medicine”?
You are a fucking currency trader. You actively participate and assumingly survive off of one of the most Capitalistic professions that exists. My god, man. You produce absolutely nothing and have the gall to piss and moan about people that actually make the economy function.
You don’t want to take responsibility for slavery. You want the government to force other people to take responsibility for it.
You benefit from it and believe it is a failing system that takes advantage of workers so by your own logic that means you must take responsibility for it. Just like you believe you benefited from slavery; therefore, you must take responsibility for it. The only person with “sophomoric and sloppy thinking” here is you.
But, like most commies, you’re all talk and are perfectly happy using capitalism for their own benefit.
No, it’s not. It is not morally right to take resources from one group and give it to another when the former did nothing to harm the latter and the latter was not harmed by the former.
But, again, it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that a Marxist thinks redistribution is moral right.
You will be the first one in the bread lines crying about starvation if capitalism fails.
You survive off currency volatility. You literally do nothing.
I taught in inner cities. That trumps your Twitter account, walking around with a BLM sign or reading White Fragility.
You could leave a bunch of teenage boys alone on an island and inevitably most of the power/authority would end up with one boy or just a few of them.
Like a less deadly version of Lord of the Flies at best haha.
About the thread itself… my mom came to the U.S. in the 80s and my dad came in 1992, I think. They both talk a lot now about how they feel the U.S. is on the decline compared to where it once was. And my mom lived through how dangerous NYC was in the 80s, so it’s not just about violent crime.
I agree with this but it is still far better off here than most places.
I don’t even tweet.
And you act like I couldn’t survive in another system.
Just like the government made those enslaved forced into that awful arrangement.
And how will the government force others to take responsibility for slavery?
Do you have the same feelings about subsidies to successful corporations?
That is certainly true.
Oh you mean to eat and not be homeless.
I can benefit from any system, it isn’t just capitalism. Fucking garbage!
But again it doesn’t surprise me that a capitalist thinks redistribution to the upper class is morally okay, but constantly whines if the tables are turned the other way. Fuck, you are horribly sloppy and don’t even see it.
What do you mean “if”? Are you that fucking blind?
I donate, volunteer at a food bank and try to raise consciousness anytime I can.
No but I have experienced this awful “healthcare” system. And the for-profit model sucks
Please let politicians from other countries that have a single-payer system that they ought to run on the for-profit model, since it’s so superior. I’m sure it would be a winning strategy with it’s medical BK’s and tens of thousands of deaths each year because people can’t afford it. You ought to be a campaign manager. You’re fucking awesome and stupid at the same time.
