Ok so iv seen some guys say not to take tudca unless you are running a oral or some kind of hepatoxic substance or you are trying to reverse liver damage. Can someone plz explain why this is and what effects tudca will have if you take it when not using anything hepatoxic.
Plz no bro science. I’m not doubting this theory but all iv been able to find is bro science. I’m looking for something concrete.
I cant find anything that associates negative side effects of using Tudca as a supplement while not on cycle. I mean, its not like this was designed for AAS users specifically.
I believe I saw @iron_yuppie mention it and @unreal24278 on a previous thread not to use it unless your using something liver toxic at the time it was news to me which made me get on Google and I saw on a few other forums some people mention not to use it unless using orals or hepatoxic drugs or if you have high liver values. Then I also see people say they take it year round and have great values.
The reason for this post is because 1) I take it no matter what drugs I’m using and 2) I tell other people to do the same. I want to make sure I’m not out here giving harmful advice to people.
I don’t have the link but I will look for it. As I recall the basic premise was this: TUDCA helps clear bile ducts when they are backed up (which is caused by methylated orals); however, the mechanism of action that does this is harmful when the ducts are clear and working normally because it causes some sort of something further down the line something something. I honestly don’t remember well enough to speak intelligently about it. If I can find the link I will put it up. Or failing that if I can trace the original source of the first time I read about the ill effects I’ll put that up. Give me some time.
Ok, could not find the study (yet) but did find a few interesting things. One, the FDA label for UDCA states that the drug should not be taken for more than eight weeks unless there is a primary indication for it. The reason? It lowers HDL. That’s not great if you’re using it year round. Now lowered HDL is t a big deal for a few weeks while blasting an oral, but if you’re trying to cruise and get back to baseline you should want to avoid that side effect.
I guess the place I land on this is that NAC can be taken more frequently without as many issues and when using orals TUDCA should be added. But I need to read more before I can say anything definitive.
My HDL is low (20)altho I attribute that to the masteron before the masteron it was higher so I don’t think the tudca had a negative effect on it for me altho I know everyone is different . My LDL is fine tho and my total is fine along with triglycerides and chol/hdlc ratio so I’m not particularly worried about it.
Its interesting tho tudca def seems to have some major benefits other then just liver detoxification.
