Good point. NYC is clearly a great representation of how cultures intermingle. Thatās why weāre seeing what is probably the most diverse city in the country embracing sharia law, genital mutilation, and other such atrocities from other cultures.
Oh wait, what? Itās illegal there too? Gotcha.
Quit thinking that NYC = America. In reality, America = America. Telling us weāre biased based on where we live then explaining youāre right because of where you live is back asswards.
Sharia Law hasnāt gotten a foothold in America because the numbers of muslims from countries where they practise genital mutilitation hasnāt become large.
In countries where those numbers have reached a significant portion of the countryās population such as Sweden, different story.
There are whole no go zones muslim ghettos where this stuff is practised.
There has not been an increase in the practice happening in the U.S. itself, he says.
Also, they explicitly state they include those that had FGM happen elsewhere and later came to America. That sure sounds like higher risk of it happening here. Definitely good to include those numbers
I actually thought the best part is that all of the numbers are people āat risk ofā undergoing FGM (a nebulous term with no definition, basically just an excuse to say whatever you want vaguely so it can sound as scary as possible). There are basically no data in rajās link that support an actual increase in FGM.
To the contrary. The link explicitly states there HASNāT been an increase. Then again, the criteria for being āat riskā is probably being female and Muslim.
I also love this part. Great link Raj. 10/10
BREAKING NEWS: RISK OF DYING IN SELF DRIVING CAR ACCIDENT GOES UP 10X WITH THE INVENTION OF SELF DRIVING CARS
Yes, the fact that you googled something until you found a source you agreed with A WHILE BACK totally invalidates you posting a link that directly contradicts you.
Good point. Iāll get the hang of this stuff eventually. Thank you for being patient while I catch up.
First, itās kind of hilarious excuse (and not really all that believable) that you merely posted the wrong link.
Own it, man. You posted a quick link without reading what was in it, got owned, then tried to find another one that supported your point.
Want to know whatās doubly funny? This link still doesnāt support your point. As pfury explained from your first linkā¦
Letās read the passage that cites an āalarming rise in the USā from your CNN article:
āSince 1990, the estimated number of girls and women in the US who have undergone or are at risk of the practice has more than tripled.ā
Again - theyāre including the ānumber at riskā (which is not defined anywhere, but based on the next sentenceā¦)
"The increase is due to rapid growth in the number of immigrants from countries where risk of FGM is greatest. "
Ah, okay. So we still donāt actually have any evidence that FGM is actually on the rise in the US, only that more people from countries where it happens are immigrating here. Whatās the evidence that those people are more likely to undergo the procedure in the US? Isnāt it rational thinking that some of them are leaving those nations in part to live in a freer society where they wonāt be forced to do that?
Nope. Theyāre clearly joining America so they can bring their culture with them 100%. Just look at Raj. Heās been pushing for a caste system for quite a while. Ohwaitā¦
