Trump: The First Year

A close friend of mine was in downtown Havana when Fidel died. People were celebrating in housing blocks, fireworks were going off, only some of the elderly were crying. The regime police didn’t even attempt a serious crackdown.

The regime was pretty much doomed and the end was very near - this move by Trump has given them a lifeline, they’ll revert to the siege mentality and hopefully for them keep enough of the Party faithful on their side.

Good, so more pointless optics with no utility other than to make Trumpkins think he’s actually doing something while his administration sputters.[quote=“therajraj, post:1724, topic:229190”]
I hope Trump hasn’t forgotten about all those parents whose children were murdered by DREAMERS that he paraded on stage at his rallies.

He’s long since forgotten, but your mistake is that you thought he cared in the first place.

How legal immigration dooms a conservative Republican party.

This is Why I was a huge fan of campaign Trump

Oh, so it’s fear of projected immigrant voting patterns that makes their presence in this country undesirable. Thanks for clarifying.

I think many of us were apparently under the false assumption that there were other characteristics of immigrants you didn’t want in this country, such as:

  • low IQ’s,
  • voting in ways to help their own while hurting aging whites,
  • diluting the traditional white culture,
  • creating imagined situations where mansions and diamond-studded swimming pools butted up against ghettos,
  • forcing affluent folks to live in coastal cities for jobs when their clear preference would be to live in the Midwest.

I don’t know where I got those impressions from. My bad.

Well broadly diversity is a major fault line in society.

I want a 10 year moratorium on all immigration.

This is one example of many

Small government, rule of law, free market, private property are all things I value and are derived from European culture.

Demographics and statistics are showing that’s the trajectory of the country. Biology cares not for your racial egalitarian ideology.

People of similar racial makeup like to live around each other. Question for you, why are white people pulling their children out asian majority schools in San Fran if they love and welcome diversity so much?

Can we make it retroactive?

How far back? You know the Founding Fathers intended to deport AAs eventually right?

You know the answer to that one.

What’s your background? How far do your roots stretch in America?

WTF are you guys talking about? Deporting everyone that’s been here since slave times. That’s crazy where would they go ? Not to mention by now it’s all mixed. This doesn’t make any sense… The 10 yr thing is that no people coming in or going out for 10yrs? What about tourists and students?

Take your non freedom loving self back to where you came from. Some immigrants bring good things but you are a clear example that some don’t. Our country was better before you. Want to make America great again? Go be where you first came from and practice what you preach instead of saying everyone else should

Welcome to the insanity of PWI in 2016/2017. An immigrant wants a moratorium on immigration…

Side note, Anna Kendrick is in my top 5. Not quite Kate Beckinsale level, but still top 5.

It gets worse.

My life was saved by treatment in a socialized medicine system but I’m against socialized medicine too

She’s in my top 3 for sure. Gal Gadot has snuck in recently too.

Uhuh…

I’m just gonna go out on a limb here and assume it’s because the medicine and/or a doctor saved you not the type of healthcare system…

I changed my opinion

Open borders and universal health care for all

You are also not allowed to find new information and change your stance.

Once you are in, it’s for life like the Hells Angels

That’s par for the course for many (not all) people who call themselves conservatives. That is, a sizeable chunk of the people who enthusiastically support candidates who pledge to roll back entitlement programs are themselves direct beneficiaries of those programs. Hell, even Paul Ryan–the Ayn Rand devotee who would like to rid the Federal budget of essentially all entitlement programs–directly benefited from one in his youth.

In fairness, I inferred from @therajraj’s statement that he would have been unable to afford the healthcare that saved his life but for the fact that it was ‘free.’ (Note the ‘quotes’; I realize nothing of value is ever free.)

Excellent. [tents fingers like Mr. Burns] Now put your hand on this copy of Alinksy’s Rules for Radicals and repeat after me…

We prefer Hell’s Snowflakes.
