I Googled the articles. Iâll unpack your misrepresentation for everyone. The author of the first piece is from a guest contributor who is a liberal that worked in some capacity for Hillary Clintonâs campaign. The third piece is from a guest contributor who is a Libertarian who works at the Cato Institute. CNN is allowing guest contributors to offer point and counterpoint through guest editorials. And each piece, CNN says that the views belong to the author and are not being published on behalf of CNN. So, CNN isnât changing its mind on anything based on what Trump did in his budget.
Youâre as dishonest with your deliberate misrepresentation of information as Zeb.
So now we are going to criticize CNN for trying to represent both sides of the aisle? Forgive them for giving readers the tools to form their own opinions.
Even if this did represent their org, would that matter? Would this not simply represent that theyâre willing to publish both sides of a story and let the viewer/reader make up his/her mind?
Is this not, quite literally, the exact opposite of what the right complains about CNN constantly? Theyâre not being partisan. Theyâre not âchoosing a side.â Theyâre publishing both sides of a story from multiple perspectives and letting us figure out which side we fall on. You know⊠journalism.
Wouldnât hypocrisy be to only publish one side of a story? If you want to say that MSM is partisan no matter which side of the fence theyâre on, thatâs understandable.
Saying a news station is hypocritical by reporting both sides of a subject is back asswards. Using this as an example when it says the very opposite doesnât work very well.
Ben Shapiro did a great interview with Ben Sasse about it. Basically, he said it is a political prisonerâs dilemma. The voters know theyâll either get someone who is a bastard, or someone who they actively hate the politics of.
I mean, Ted Kennedy may have killed a girl and attempted to cover it up, and still was called the âLion of the Senate.â
The only solution is both parties no seating people in such situations. But I reckon the chances of that are close to nil.
Edited as per Mufasaâs correction. Thanks for the catch @Mufasa
And in all fairness, MT has a ton of absentee/mail it in votes, so their votes had been in place well before this happened, I know there was a large push to change their votes but they werenât allowed to. (I did not believe he was a good representative for MT prior to this act of idiocy.) He has been charged with misdemeanor assault at this point, although I am not sure much will come of it.
