This part is all Hollywood. As someone who’s lived in these small towns (after moving to a larger city even I think they’re creepy when I go back to visit) everyone’s so up each other’s asses all the time you can’t get away with jaywalking, let alone murrrrderrrrr.
Lol, well all I can tell you is that we don’t smile all the time. We usually smile when greeting someone (usually a smile and nod or handshake). I was in downtown Baltimore yesterday and believe me there wasn’t a whole lot of smiling going on.

There Hasn’t been a war threatening America’s way of life since WW2.

I don’t know why you’re even giving him the time of day. WW2 didn’t even threaten the American way of life. Neither did WWI for that matter.
He doesn’t understand anything let alone the implications of the cold war or why we fought in Vietnam or Korea or any number of other places.

The attack on Pearl Harbor did not threaten America’s way of life. WW2 did not threaten the American way of life.
How embarrassing
The Japanese successfully attacked us one time and we crushed them so soundly that they have become one of the most passive nations on the planet. We literally ended the ideology of the Samurai by utterly dismantling their entire way of life and we did it while half our military was in Europe.
