Trump: The First Year

ED:

It’s actually an excerpt from his Book…which I understand is very frank throughout…

Jeff Flake just became one of my most trusted politicians. Telling the truth about your party in 2017 is crazy talk for most politicians.

Because I have little to no faith in Trump to make wise decisions for either himself or the American people, I don’t put much stock in Kelly’s ability to really change anything. In fact, if he’s a man of integrity, I don’t think he’ll last long (resign/fired and/or be sidelined/hamstrung by Trump).

Preibus wasn’t the problem. Trump, and many of his supporters (and “hopefuls”) think there’s a problem within the administration. There is. And it’s staring them all right in the face…they just refuse to see it.

The other downside is that Military people tend to be about lines-of-authority/chain-of-command…and above all, honor and discipline.

(Oh, boy…)

Yeah, I imagine there’s some real internal struggles underway in the minds of McMaster, Kelly and Mattis right about now.

The other thing that I am wondering is where Bannon fits in this “Kelly Restructuring”.

Bannon

Thinking of Trump, always blaming someone else.

Amazing, principles over party. Who’d a thunk it?

I remember just a year or two ago being laughed at for expressing similar feelings…

You mean the ‘Et tu?’ type of struggle?

Metaphorically removing him from office, not stabbing him - to clarify

My hope is Kelly will use all the powers of the chief of staff to operate as a shadow President. He’s an independent, which will be good, and has already made overtures that he wants to get down to business in a bipartisan way on legislation.

My concern is that he’ll actually do a great job, and the media will applaud him for it, which means he’ll upstage Trump as the Man Who Gets Things Done, and so Trump will turn on him, and he won’t last.

This would be very unfortunate…

But considering Trump’s ego…very possible.

If God is real the tape comes out soon…yea must have faith

Oh boy…just across my News Feed…

“An investigator who worked on the Seth Rich case claims Fox News fabricated quotes implicating the murdered Democratic National Committee staffer in the Wiki-leaks scandal and that President Donald Trump pressured Fox to publish the story.”

An official Lawsuit has been filed.

“The Lawsuit alleges that the story about Rich’s death was orchestrated by Ed Butowsky, a Dallas based weather management consultant and Fox News commentator.”

“The lawsuit said Trump pushed to get the story out.”

(This is all getting surreal…)

We passed surreal awhile ago.

There’s rumor/speculation that Trump is increasingly paranoid about his cabinet invoking the 25th to remove him, hence the revolving door of appointees (and attempt to get Sessions to quit).

I immediately thought of Raj when he was wondering why Russia was a story but everybody but Fox wasn’t talking about Seth Rich. Talk about full circle, so are Fox, the presidents tweets, and Hannity all fake news now?

You beat me too it, Drew.

“Et tu, Fox…?”

Is Raj still around?

No, he got the ban hammer for talking about people’s families.

Mike Pence is in Montenegro, meeting their PM who was infamously pushed aside by Trump at the NATO summit.

Allegedly the trip is meant to repair the damage from Trump’s shove as the Russian propaganda had a field day with Trump’s shove (“Ha-ha, look how your US ally is treating you” and stuff like that).

But the best part was Pence’s speech in which he praised the government and the “courageous people of Montenegro” for standing up to Russian meddling in their internal affairs. You cannot make this stuff up.
