Trump: The First Year

If I were hypothetically the head of a Muslim country, I would most certainly weigh the cultural compatibility of any potential incoming immigrants.

It’s not about justification, it’s an understanding that certain races/cultures can never have their differences reconciled and immigration policy should take that into account.

Wow that was fast. Next will be that skinny guy that looks like a dick with ears

Ha ha ha ha ha

Is this what incompetence looks like?

Democrats getting on board with Trump when his one and only personal power comes from knowledge of trade/business. It’s almost like they acknowledge his strengths and agree to work with him in some regards.

I think his greatest asset is that he’s not Hillary Clinton.

Which obviously means absolutely nothing in terms of what he brings to the table. His 1 and only “talent” is understanding of business/trade. Which is why, surprise surprise, Dems are actually willing to work with him in that regard. It probably appears so strange because Repubs have no idea what that looks like.

Yeah…I was making a joke above. But you are correct I think probably some republicans had to sit down when they heard that the dems are going to actually try to get something done for the people instead of acting like the poor losers of a lost election.

But…in all fairness the republicans blocked Obama as much as they could. Not to the extent so far that the democrats are doing. But as I’ve always said the democrats seem to play the game better than the republicans. It might be because they have a friendly media to back them up.

And of course I can’t remember the last time that republicans rioted in the streets. Like the unhinged lunatic far left. Ha…that’s actually funny to think about.

To be quite frank, it’s because they spent 8 years bitching about Obama and have completely lost the ability to do anything beyond tow the party line. This is shown in excess by the insane lack of preparation for being in control again. They put forth basically zero thought in the last 8 years beyond “Obama is scary we must stop Obama.”

How are Democrats blocking Trump more than Repubs blocked Obama exactly? Republicans control all 3 houses of the govt.

Which is true, but is also completely irrelevant to members of Congress being willing to vote for what’s right instead of straight down the party line. I guess the exception would be the attempt of Trumpcare where some Repubs voted no because it was too easy going on poor people, but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.

I don’t think that’s it. I think it’s more of a “huh? Trump is President?” I’m thinking they’re still a little surprised.

You know I’d have to google and I just don’t care enough to do that. But I think Obama got a few republicans to go along with health care and some other things.

Yes, that was it the evil republicans wanted to punish more poor people (eye roll).

There isn’t much else to say…What was I thinking before? You have made me see the light. I think government should pay for everything at this point, cradle to grave. And damn those freaking rich people they too are evil.

Have a nice weekend my friend.

Which 3?

The only 3? POTUS, SCOTUS, & Congress.

There, I fixed it for you.

This is what the right will look like not too far down the road. White cuckservatives and neocon jews will go extinct

I asked that in jest, to poke at you.
However, this is my observation.

Saying the GOP is in control and should be able to enact every statement uttered into legislation is either naivety of the built-in gridlock the Constitution provides as a means of check/balance OR merely a political attack which speaks more to partisanship than a deeper examination of the facts.

Why do I say the second? GOP is fractured into 2 oppositional forces on many issues which makes this monolithic juggernaut a fiction when it comes to the voting. Trump himself has no history as a Republican of any substance, merely drifting whichever current will carry him the furtherest. Lastly, the USSC hears very few cases per year, so activist Federal judges willing to overstep their boundaries are currently making ‘legistlation’. Lastly, the Democrats have flatly stated that they will not play along including vocal members like Waters screaming Impeach before Trump ever took office, a press that endlessly pounds negativity regarding Trump and all conservatism, and liberal zealous moles imbedded in governmental positions leaking documents, whispering innuendoes, lies, and what not.

If the above is is not enough, then every move made by GOP is met with Dictator, Hilter, Banana Republic.

I understand that the GOP is currently broken into a few pieces, but to say that Dems are currently running interference ANYWHERE NEAR what Repubs did during Obama’s 8 years is laughable. As shown by the trade deal votes, Dems are certainly willing to work with Trump on matters where people think he’s legitimately knowledgeable.

If the GOP is fractured, they only have themselves to blame. If they can’t come together and get legislation passed, that’s nowhere near the level where Repubs ran for reelection on the platform of “vote no on every Obama legislation and we have the majority so Obama can eat shit.”

Torch-wielding white supremacists rallied around a Robert E. Lee statue slated for removal and chanted “Russia is our friend" in Virginia Saturday night.

Do they look like white supremacists? They’re holding signs that say “we will not be replaced”

Those people (to paraphrase Robert E. Lee of all people) don’t understand the fundamental rule of torch-wielding:

Street brawlers, thugs, far-right Freikorps and WW1 veterans wielding torches in 1930ies Germany - scary.

A bunch of scrawny dudes who haven’t had their first sexual intercourse yet and a fat chick in a polka dot dress wielding torches - not scary.
