Trump: The First 100 Days

Mufasa, I realized I didn’t respond to you before this went off on the DUI tangent. Thanks for the explanation. I have similar thoughts.

They were mobilizing Mexicans in America to vote against Trump

Do you refuse to recommend to your patients that they quit smoking because the Nazis were to the first to link smoking to lung cancer?

Do you have a link to a mainstream, credible source for this?

There actually is a move afoot to expunge from the medical literature the eponymous names for diseases when the doctor in question was a Nazi. One example concerns granulomatosis with polyangiitis, formerly known as Wegener’s disease. Once it was discovered Dr Wegener was a Nazi who may have participated in experiments on concentration-camp victims, there was a movement among both individual physicians and their professional societies to refrain from using his name any further.

Note that while we (doctors) decline to honor a Nazi by using his name in identifying a disease he studied via unethical means, we don’t pretend the disease doesn’t exist, nor do we decline to manage it. So if lung cancer had been known initially as Hitler cancer, at some point we would have declined to use that eponym. But we would never stop managing the condition (including counseling pts on preventative steps).

Let me guess, the NYT is racist. Or, since none of us were technically present, as in, we weren’t in the room when they were plotting this, it doesn’t actually count.

I don’t understand your point here.

Not shocking at all.

That’s twice now where your sarcasm/snark have come through loud and clear, but your point continues to elude. So I’ll ask one more time if you’d like to elucidate the point you’re trying to convey.

Posted it several times, don’t really feel like posting it again.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Posted what several times?

I agree–having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing. However, allowing Russia to wage cyber-warfare against us without responding does not qualify as ‘having a good relationship.’ In fact, I would go so far as to say only “stupid” people, or fools, think it would be.

how mexico interfered in the US election

This is a good breakdown of the ideological roots of BLM. It’s longish

Well, that’s your choice of course. But for those of us who missed the previous posts, your assertion will be unfounded until/unless you re-post.

It was pretty well covered by the media that there was a huge push to increase the Latino vote, I am not sure how you would have missed that.

No one cared, until Hillary lost.

You may be right MM. But then again I’m not sure. There might have been some serious charges that they will not release in his juvenile record:

http://www.youngcons.com/explosive-new-lawsuit-filed-in-st-louis-claims-michael-brown-was-a-suspect-for-second-degree/

But let’s say the above is all wrong and he had no criminal record…which I am willing to admit is possible.

If he was a great guy what was he doing stealing cigars at a local store just prior to his confrontation with Officer Wilson? Brown was 6’4" 290 pound thug who charged a Police Officer in an attempt to get his gun. And remember Eric Holder’s Justice Department investigated the incident and left no stone unturned. So if you are attempting to say that Brown was wrongfully shot you have an uphill battle that you won’t win.

So, whether he had an adult criminal record or not he was certainly a thief and a bully who went too far one night.

I think you’ve missed my point here MM. I don’t care about whether or not the would be criminal is aware of the sever punishment (but sure it would help). Which by the way anyone with a 4th grade education should probably fully understand. All I care about is that when said criminal is arrested (of any color) for a violent crime that he/she not be let out for many, many years. Especially when it is their third conviction. As the Police of Chicago will tell you the left wing nut judges are not giving harsh enough sentences to the thugs committing the crimes in Chicago. Hence, the murders are usually by repeat offenders. Their first, second or third crime might not have been murder but it was of a violent nature. So…LOCK EM UP. And if they need to raise my taxes to build more prisons I’m good with that.

Excellent stats and the very reason they need to stay I jail for a long, long time. And some of them for life.

Great

[quote]The sad part is, I think you truly believe this.

The sad part is you don’t believe this.

It’s about the industry of racism. Race baiters like Al Shparton and Jesse Jackson…there are many others at various levels, out to make money and a name for themselves by promoting the myth that racism is what keeps black people down. I am not denying that racism still exists. But compared to what it was there have been gigantic leaps of progress made. My gosh we elected a black man to the Presidency twice! (once was not enough we needed more pain…okay that is a political conversation). That should tell all of us that things are getting better in this country. Obama could not have won without the white vote.

My point is instead of telling young black males that here is hope if you work hard and stay out of trouble people like Al Sharpton and many others are busy telling them that it’s their color that is holding them back. And this is hogwash. If that were actually the case there would be no successful black doctors, lawyers, teachers and Presidents.

See what I’m saying?

I will certainly agree with you here. But why is there more black on white crime than white on black crime?

I totally agree much of that music to sick and disgusting. I also know that some of it talks about killing Cops. We can both agree that doesn’t help a young black man walk around respecting authority.

I agree that does help. But there is nothing like a loving father in the house who will gladly kick your ass when you do something wrong. Then give you a hug and tell you how much he loves you and why you were punished.

Allow me to shock you. I agree 100% with what you said. One more reason to comply with the lawful order of a Police Officer.

You are correct I am a wealthy white guy and I drive a great big Cadillac SUV (with all the options :). Furthermore I am well known in my community as being an upstanding citizen and entrepreneur and many other positive things that I won’t go into right now. However, when I am pulled over by a police officer I first make sure that they can see my hands. Then when they approach the car and ask for my license I ask them permission to reach into my glove box. When permission is granted I reach into my glove box very slowly and give the officer all of the information that is asked of me. I also look them in the eye and tell them the truth.

Compare the above scenario with what some (some) young black males do when confronted by the police. Again as we both agree this has more to do with not understanding authority because they may not have grown up with a positive male role model at home.

You are a smart guy and I like talking to you. I am actually learning from you. You are helping expand my perspective on the various race problems and for that I am grateful. While we may not agree on all things I think we are both well intended.

Zeb

That was not the claim being discussed. @therajraj stated “Mexico meddled in the US election,” which is a very different claim. I confess I only skimmed the link you provided, but in doing so I saw no mention of the Mexican govt playing an active role in trying to increase the Latino vote in the recent election. In my haste, did I overlook it?
