Trump: The First 100 Days

Well, Mufasa one can say that about any political shift right? Do you think Reagan would have won in such a large fashion if Jimmy Carter were not perceived as being a weak leader because of not being able to rescue our hostages held in Iran for 444 days? Would there have been a FDR without first there being a Herbert Hoover? The list could go on.

Mufasa all you have to do is refute one thing that I said with some solid facts. ONE THING

ONE TIME

ONE THING

Go…do it

Out of curiosity have we ever had a comprehensive discussion on why the US needs to continue it’s mass immigration program?

I’d say 80-90% of the arguments are just me presenting my anti-immigration points.

Yeah they interrupted his rally, just like they did with Hillary…as a means to try and hold them accountable for the many years of votes from the black community (more so in Hillary’s case, but democratic in general).

What were these? The outliers featured on Fox News? Have you actually been to one? I’ve (thanks to my Wife) participated in multiple marches, where I never heard anyone say anything about Death to Cops. But by your definition I’m racist I suppose

You could walk outside right now with 15 friends and a black lives matter sign and say “Death to Cops” and it would be on Fox News tomorrow.

But I mean I expect people in your position to paint a large-loosely-affiliated group with such a broad brush. It is a common tactic to rally support against an “enemy.” And it has worked, but that’s what this country does to minorities in general so no surprises there.

It will be very interesting to see if you feel the same way four years hence.

Unfortunately, a lot of people labor under this impression. But the entire declamation would not read ‘Black Lives Matter More,’ rather, it would be ‘Black Lives Matter Too.’

I am of the belief that the only one who can keep Trump from being POTUS for 8 years…is Trump. (or his Love for TACOS and McDonald’s…).

He has been truly given a mandate that extends from the White House to State Legislatures.

If he screws it up…he’ll have no one to blame but himself.

I generally don’t get upset when someone interrupts a Socialist who is running for President. But those guys looked like thugs and by the time they were finished with poor Bernie I actually felts sorry for the semi-commie. He had to recant his original statement “all lives matter” and modify it to the thug group BLM specifications “Black Lives Matter” Disgusting, despicable and racist!

Think not? Turn it around. A White Lives Matter group pops up and intimidates a black candidate into saying…(only) White lives matter. Yeah…there a racist group of people no question.

By my definition you are a liberal and from what I can tell by our posts not at all racist. In fact, I like you and I don’t like racists at least the one’s I see on TV as I don’t know any personally. But being a liberal has enough problems attached to…Ha… racist is certainly not one of them

You participated in marches where nothing was said about harming Police Officers. Well…that’s fine. But as you know one, or two rallies does not mean that they did not say such things:

Because they did:

“The president of the St. Paul police union has sharply criticized some protesters at Saturday’s Black Lives Matter march to the Minnesota State Fair for what he calls a “disgusting” chant promoting violence against officers.”

Here is another instance in NYC:

Some commentary on the “dead cops chant”

I’m actually surprised that you even questioned that this occurred it has been in the media for several weeks.

So, I certainly don’t have a problem with any race or nationality organizing I order to receive better treatment whether it is from Police Officers, the Federal Government, or the local YMCA for that matter. I only have a problem when said group promotes violence against others especially Police Officers. As you know without a nation of laws and the blue line to back them up we fall into anarchy.

You are 100% correct. I am currently looking at the short term gain for the republican party. As I said Trump still has to prove himself a success. But…call me a cockeyed optimist, I think he will do a great job and get reelected by a large margin. Naturally it’s far too early to predict that but I have high hopes. I am laying those hopes on the shambles that Obama is leaving in his wake. I think a mediocre republican who is elected President would end up looking good after 8 years of continual failure. And that’s just what we might have a mediocre republican…We shall see.

Oh I didn’t mean to say they never existed, only to say they did not represent the majority of marches seeing as they are literally organized all over the country without any sort of central planning.

As you said, one or two mean nothing

Well, I’m sure you know a bit about mob psychology. And it actually only takes a small percentage of a group to make the entire group look bad.

Anytime you are in a group and a smaller sub group within that group is chanting “death to cops” I would suggest that it does two things:

  1. It makes the entire group look really bad and awfully hateful.

  2. It can at times cause the rest of the group to actually start chanting the same words. Mob psychology then takes over.

And finally it causes people like me who are (mostly) conservative to say “I really don’t like that hateful group”

Why you poor little Conservative Snowflake!

I’m SO sorry, Zeb…I never knew…

How do you balance those gains against the costs he imposed on the Republican party? I’m referring to the points of policy where he stands at odds with GOP orthodoxy; eg, his protectionist trade impulses; his accommodationist attitude regarding Russia; etc.

Yes, he expanded the base, but he did so by bringing in people who couldn’t care less about some of the core tenets of GOP-style conservatism. It’s going to be interesting to watch the tug-of-war over the direction of the GOP that’s soon to occur.

There are all sorts of gangs. White gangs, Asian gangs, even Hawaiian gangs, yet none of those groups were incarcerated at rates even remotely close to black gangs.

Yet no one is a bigger threat to black people than other black people. I see black entertainers speak at a BET event about white cops killing black people and it’s called brave, yet not a word about the black on black crime in Chicago.

Oh I get it like the soft little snow flakes that cried when Trump won. No…let me explain.

When I hear a group of people chanting: “What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want them? NOW!”

I get disgusted that such people think that killing police officers would be a good thing.

But…when a republican loses an election I don’t have those feelings. I simply donate more money to the republican party and hope for the best next time around. Unlike the losers on your end of the spectrum. Big time TV reporters who were noticeably shaken when it was obvious that Trump was going to beat Hillary. Which was followed by College students looking for safe places crying and holding their teddy bears…You see THOSE PEOPLE are snow flakes. I’m just a concerned citizen not wanting Police Officers to be harmed.

Do you see the difference?

Good…glad I could school you…AGAIN

From the article attached below:

"The attacks on police in Dallas and Baton Rouge came amid protests over the shootings of black men by white officers, and were carried out by black gunmen — but race is not always a motivating factor, Floyd said.

In fact, he said, white men are responsible for most police slayings, and the majority of people shot and killed by police are white." -71% in one analysis.

But no mob psychology there.

What would that indicate?

Funny, after the Romney defeat I was commenting about how difficult it was going to be for the republicans to win the White House next time around because of how the country had turned further left. Romney was also aware of this and got in trouble with his 47% comment regarding people who are reliant on government aid. So, Trump coming along actually strengthened the republican party by increasing its base. Yes, he has torn down a couple of the parties pillars in doing so. Trade being one of them. But in the end I have found in life that people enjoy what “works”. So if Trump does what works, as in bringing jobs back, closing the borders to illegal aliens etc. Then I don’t care if he did it by tearing down a couple of the republican pillars. Perhaps they were going to fall of their own weight anyway? For example, what country does not use tariffs? Currently we have an 800 billion dollar trade deficit. We didn’t get that overnight it took both parties to screw that up.

Aside from the above he ran on a platform that keeps in tact the main tenets of the republican party:

  1. Lower taxes

  2. Anti abortion

  3. Pro 2nd amendment and preserving the constitution.

  4. Less regulation

  5. Religious freedom

  6. Arms build up “peace through strength” (let’s see who said that 37 years ago? Oh yes Ronald Reagan)

So, yes Trump has been good for the republican party…so far. It only gets really bad if he is a failure as President. But as I have said many times (and Mufasa is sick of hearing it) Trump does not have big shoes to fill after 8 years of Obama. He could do a mediocre job and look like a giant.

The content in the link seemed rather vague. I genuinely don’t know what they want exactly in order for them to stop rioting. Seems like they haven’t been satisfied unless a white cop goes to jail, which is very dangerous for cops and society in general.

The BLM movement started off with the justified shooting of Michael Brown and the lie of “hands up, don’t shoot,” so immediately they have been off base about black people not mattering. Of course they matter and that has been the problem with BLM trying to create something that doesn’t exist. Truly I believe it to be media driven. Where are these racist police forces that don’t agree with black lives mattering? Show me them and we can do something about it but rioting after every black person is shot is not productive. (None of that was directed towards you but BLM in general.)

I was at the MN state fair when they were chanting “pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.” Racist chant? Not really but I assure you it was directed at white cops and once again, not productive to their cause.
