Trump: The First 100 Days

LOL…this is a festive time of year. Therefore, I embrace all of my T Nation brothers even if some of them do not understand the evil’s of liberalism.

hahaha. I was going to say it must be the holidays. I must say, if you’re listening to Journey and The Doobie Brothers and reminiscing, you creating that picture of Obama is no small feat

Well…you got me on that one.

We have a gym at our house that I’ve built up through the years. When I’m training I’m listening to Billy Squier, Billy Idol, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne and of course the many great sound tracks on all of the Rocky films. My son tells me that it is amazing that I can put in the work outs I do at my age and with that “awful music” playing. It’s a double insult…

He hurts my feelings :disappointed_relieved:

I hear ya. I started my son weightlifting with me at age 12, when he hit puberty. His first Bench workout consisted of pressing the bar 10 times. Now, just shy of his 24th birthday, he warms up with my working-set weights. He’s also 30# (of muscle) heavier than me, two inches taller, and a lot smarter. As I like to tell him, all I have left is that I’m still better-looking than he is. (You can imagine the eye-roll that line gets.)

This was pretty sad. Not really sure how to fix it though. We can’t deregulate to China’s level. Further, our focus on shareholder return tied in with CEO compensation has them short-sighted. We could make the moral argument against their human rights abuses as a reason to bring businesses home, but would that be enough?

Tone at the top effect

That all has a very familiar ring to it. I used to be the Chin-up king in my house. Years ago I wrote about my Chin work outs here on T Nation. Since then I’ve lost a few reps and my son has rocketed past me. But hey second place is good too.

(I always try to put a positive spin on things related to my life)

Yeah, no doubt it’s because of the election of Trump. But on the other hand I am actually all for women having an equal opportunity to compete at all levels in and out of the military. I have a daughter and I would like to think that she will not be disqualified for any job simply because of her gender. On the other hand I am not for lowering the bar in order to simply claim there are more females aboard.

Do any who lean left agree?

I agree, with the proviso that the ‘height of the bar’ is a function of the requirements of the job, as opposed to some sort of traditional and/or arbitrary standard.

(Spoken as the father of a college-age daughter who is considering joining the Navy after she graduates from nursing school.)

I think that is a good idea all around. Why have ridiculous arbitrary drills that are unrelated to the actual task at hand?

How do you feel about your daughter joining the Navy during these perilous times?

As I’m sure you can imagine/relate, it makes me feel both proud and very, very apprehensive.

It’s a poor allocation of resources putting women on the battlefield.

A man can impregnate numerous women. If a woman dies her womb is lost forever

Yeah, I get it. But what can we do? When one of my children wants to go in a certain direction (as long as that direction is not of an illegal or immoral bent) I always bring up all possibilities for his/her consideration and then I step way back and let them do as they wish.

And…I hate that feeling. But at the same time I know that it is the right way to go. If I were to talk my child out of doing something I am sure there would be resentment toward me later on in life. So, I sit back and pray for the best result.

This parenting thing is absolutely the most difficult thing I’ve ever dealt with. Even more difficult than starting a business and having my President say “you didn’t build that”…Ha I had to fit that in somewhere.

This is a joke right?

Yeah…it is…right?

No.

We need women to reproduce in order to maintain society.

The womb is the bottleneck in human reproduction

I’m here!

Just waiting patiently for January 20th so we can start making America Great Again…!

LOL…I actually love the sarcasm.

You are the best!

So, you are thinking that all of our women are going to be killed and we will not be able to reproduce?

What am I missing here?
