Yes, everyone judges on their own criteria. I imagine Chuck Schumer the Brooklyn scammer who never had a real job, other than part time in High School/ College, would give Trump that “F” you are talking about. After all Trump has not offered to have the government pay everyone’s college, food and housing bills. He has not accused the rich of “not building it themselves” and has not proposed to raise taxes on the upper 10% who already pay about 75% of all federal income tax.
Yeah…guys like that give Trump an “F”.
Guys like you should know better. Regardless of your primary interest Trump has done a good job in his first 100 days. My two main criteria for a good Presidency is putting conservatives on the Supreme Court, he’s done that. And to lower taxes. He has not yet done that but I am confident that he will. I like where he is going with it. I listed his other important job creating moves.
He certainly deserves higher than the “D” that you’ve given him. A grade of “D” I suspect would only be given by the left and the Trump haters.
Close to 100 Million Dollars in hardware ALONE…(not counting the flotilla cost, etc.)…
And the Syrians and Russians were flying out of the airfield the very next day.
I won’t bother with the rest.
That’s not the point. The point is that as a new President it sent a message to their vicious leader that the new President is not going to tolerate such hideous actions. One more point and something you really should already know, if we wanted to blow up the entire airfield we would have done it.
By the way, Obama authorized hundreds of drone strikes at a cost of about 7 million per drone. Incidentally I was and am very “pro drone” that is one of the few things I think he did right.
I didn’t say “a proposal”–I said a proposed tax plan. Big difference. And a serious, realistically adoptable proposed tax plan can’t be “a few words.”
It’s highly amusing to hear a Republican complain about obstructionism, as that was the raison d’etre of the GOP from 2008-16.
“For what he has had to work with”??!! You mean, like the fact the GOP controls both houses of Congress?
Obama was smooth like that he likes drones and special opps
Trump wants to flex nuts and show the world his toys he loves media…
I think most liked Trumps lets get out of these wars idea me 2 but he saw some burnt babies and all the sudden changed his mind… Hes unstable as hell. Im a biz guy and read many of his books b4 he went full retard… Easiest guy to sell in the room is a salesman… Hes gonna get sold by the hawks…Hes gonna go back on his word and get us in a bunch of dumb shit just wait and see…
Tax plans a joke 1 page wtf… Dont get me wrong I want a tax break but why low income folks give a shit about my buddies buying more Lambos is beyond me
Makes people think you are a blithering idiot if you don’t know the difference between striking a reinforced military strong hold and someone opening fire on a crowd of unsuspecting civilians.
I can’t give him higher than a D because he has not only not carried out what he campaigned on w/ respect to immigration and foreign wars, but he’s also completely changed his mind.
He criticized Jeb Bush for suggesting amnesty is an act of love, and now calls DACA having heart. Are you kidding me?
Secondly, to me it’s now or never as to whether the US will stay a great nation and what kind of country will be left for people 50+ years from now.
Let me give you a snapshot from the IQ perspective: People who create the bulk of wealth, make the greatest breakthroughs in science and technology are reliably a couple standard deviations above the average in IQ. If he doesn’t implement his immigration policy as campaigned on, you will be handing a very different America over to future generations.
On the topic of fighting foreign wars, with the trillions in debt the US is taking on, people in the future will be nothing but debt slaves forced to pay back these huge sums that have done nothing to even improve the here and now.
Dropping taxes, appointing conservative judges is great, but it’s irrelevant in the context of the future in the long term.
Even dropping the tax rate is an empty gesture if he intends to lead the US into another multi trillion dollar conflict
What’s the difference at this point? Certainly as we get closer the entire package will be unveiled. If it doesn’t go far enough I will scream bloody murder…
Did you read the rest of that paragraph?
Here you go"
" As I was well aware that the dems would do exactly to Trump what the republicans did to Obama. That’s how the …(oh my some hate when I say this…) GAME IS PLAYED."
An example is the Gorsuch vote. Even republicans voted for some of Obama’s leftists picks. Sonia Sotomayor got 9 republicans to vote for her (if I am recalling correctly). But as I said the dems play the game better. So, for the first time in modern history the dems held the line. Nice…I actually admire them for doing it. It makes Gorsuch look like a republican pick who had no support from the other side. And moreover it makes Trump look like he is incapable of reaching across the isle. I hope when a dem is elected to the Presidency (if that every happens again) that the republicans will play that kind of hardball. I love it.
And not to go too far off track but the “Trump is in bed with the Russians” ploy is brilliant! Kudo’s to the left for that one.
About as unstable as most of the odd mix of the 13 modern day Presidents from FDR to Obama. We have in that collection alcoholics, egomaniacs, actors, rapists and generally many unstable characters. I would say Trump is no better or worse than the average. Yes, he is different quirky etc. But…that’s as far as it goes.
Think about it…do normal people run for President?
You mean once he was elected he started toeing the republican line? Uh huh…and that’s what I said he’d do in the face of posters calling me names and claiming they were experts on Trump.
And…pay attention…that’s why people need to vote for the party and not the man/woman. Because regardless of what candidate “A” says when elected he will govern mostly like the party who got him there wants him to.
I prefer to refer to it as the ‘not Merrick Garland’ vote.
Is this a Mar-a-Lago reference? ![]()
Yeah, I’m pretty proud of that one. And I’m deeply appreciative of the Trump campaign for the way they cooperated with it.
I said he would be a maybe because of the record low donations he took.
But again why are you so happy with a tax cut and his intervention in the middle east?
In order for a tax cut to be viable it has accompany reduction in overall spending. A war will do the opposite
Yes, and that was an excellent play by the republicans. Claiming it was the “Biden rule” not to vote so close to the end of a Presidents term. Ha…if it were a republican President you bet they’d have had a vote. Politics lol.
Hahaha you are a funny guy…Good one!
Oh definitely…they left the door wide open for a play like that. I don’t see it having legs but it helps the dems as long as it lives.
Trump grade at 100 days? Mostly incomplete. Hard to grade someone who hasn’t done much of anything and is, in fact, way behind on some of the basic building blocks of governing (like staffing).
He gets a good grade for Gorsuch, who, ironically, may not be a good pick for himself personally, since Gorsuch has shown himself not afraid to push back on executive overreach.
Immigration? Dumb policies, but an even worse rollout. Bigoted and amateurish are never good combos in the first 100 days.
Obamacare repeal? A flop, and a sequence of events that made Congress realize a Trump isn’t anyone to fear. That’s good for the country, bad for Trump’s individual grade.
Big, beautiful wall? Trump’s bored with the idea, and isn’t motivated voted to fight for it.
Mattis was a good pick, as was Nikki Haley. However, Trump’s reliance on Wall Street elites undermines his populist pitch completely.
His tax policy looks to be a disaster unless he can credibly come up with a way to show it’s revenue neutral.
Most importantly, Trump has shown us in the first 100 days that he is lazy and not all that interested in getting much done. Between the weekly trips to Maralago and his admission the job is, uh, harder than he thought it would be, anyone hoping for Trump to develop a serious agenda and a laser focus on getting things done will be disappointed.
It appears Trump is interested in whatever the last person in his ear said to him.
Grade: D+
Okay, first of all I NEED A TAX CUT. I pay threw the nose and a cut of 4.5% would be a nice start. Hillary wanted to raise it by 5% so that’s really a 9.5% savings …one way to look at it.
As for the Middle East, no one is “happy” that we have problems over there. But doing what Obama did, largely ignoring the problem, will not make it go away. So bravo for Trump and the Tomahawk missile attack.
The US must regain its prominence as a world power. And we must do it to keep thugs like the leaders of Korea and Iran in line. Not to mention Isis. The world is a mess…we can’t ignore it.
I also think the tax cuts will help the economy as they did in the 80’s. I already told my employees that if Trump comes through with the tax cut they are going to get raises. I want to reward my top players greater than I already do. What will they do with the money that would have gone to our huge government? Some will put it toward buying a new car, others will take a vacation, others will put it toward an addition to their house. The point is they will all spend it most likely and the economy benefits.
And…that’s how things should work. Someday I hope we have an across the board flat tax of something like 20%. But with the dems pushing class envy that isn’t likely in the near future.
What would a president do ideally ?
Repeal hart-cellar
Send the country with the greatest military might to guard the border instead of mindless intervention abroad
Simplify the tens of thousands of tax code
Simplify the tens of thousands of laws in general
Withdraw support from Israel
Moratorium on immigration
Deport every person here illegally with a speedy trial consisting of "is he here illegally? If yes deport "
If countries refuse to take back their illegals house them overseas in a detention camp the way Australia does
Gut welfare
Individual trade deals only
End all anti discrimination laws
Withdraw Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan and shutdown the majority of bases overseas (there are hundreds)
Get rid of some of heavy bloat of departments.
Why?
Why is it the US’s problem?
Question: Trump recently said he was a nationalist and a globalist.
Do you think he has an ideology or his stances are ratings driven?
