Leave enough space for me & Skyzyk.

Considering the guy has lived on the same property for 50 years (his whole life) and has a successful licensed business I think we’re ok.
I’m just outside of the old 7 mile blast zone, in a cold war era block house. My basement is 100% subterranean. ![]()
But only about mile from NETL. ![]()
I just hope Putin is angry enough to unleash the pee pee tape #fingerscrossed
Bannon was anti attack and he was removed from the NSC
Destroying an airfield after telling both Congress and the Russian to clear out is relatively non committal while still sending a message, I would opine
.
A billion here, a billion there…
Fifty-nine tomahawk missiles launched from an aircraft carrier hit their target. At $1.59 million a piece, the attack cost the Defense Department $93,810,000.
Its about time maybe give him a nice office space in the basement and some bug spray…Check on him in 4yrs
Getting set to leave but wanted to post briefly. in the hopes I’ll get back to it this evening and be able to flesh out more, so heres the quick and dirty–
In politics you need an excuse. The status quo was set, so you needed an excuse to upend it–and Sarin massacre works perfectly for that. Morally, no you dont need an excuse of course and never did, but politics and especially geo-politics is a different animal I believe.
Also I do believe IF it is well played this can help the US–I believe it was loppar some time ago who said that the opinion overseas prior to the Red Line incident was wssentially along the lines of “the Yanks are crazy, but if they threaten something they’re also crazy enough to do it.” Basically that we didnt know WTF we were doing policy wise, but if we said we were going to intervene you had better believe we’ll do SOMETHING. My concern of course is that Trump got one right accidentally.
And it’s questionable how much the attack itself accomplished…
Yes, and the Russians are immediately upping the ante to determine whether this was a fluke - Russian warship maneuvers, promises to upgrade Syrian AA capabilities etc.
Classic onion.
Hate to dip to the low class and profane, but this warrants an oft-heard saying in E Texas -
Ain’t that some shit…
It’s rough that’s for sure. It’s one of the reasons I hold the “red line” to be such a debacle. The whole region was already a shithole, the only thing worse would be to allow a geo-political rival (Russia) more latitude…anyway that’s done to death by now.
In the worst way possible, by nuking Senate rules and setting the entire course of the “more cooperative” house crashing towards the rocks. Republicans were fucking awful at this–it was awful when Reid proposed and pushed it through and it is awful now when applied to SCOTUS appointees. Even worse–they’re lifetime appointees and the chances this leads to a permanent favorable change in the way business is done are exactly nil.
I’m sure there’s a 100 megatons targeting Omaha.
Oh well.
Except those rules about supermajority didn’t exist till 1917. They aren’t in the constitution.
Also, take that pinky Reid. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
I know they aren’t in the Constitution. My concern is that long term harm to the atmosphere and what little remains of the collegiality of the Senate (as if any more could be taken away) suffers.
I hope they go further. I hope they kill cloture and reconciliation also. Straight 50%
Man after my own heart
