Trump: The First 100 Days

Comeys statements doesn’t deny the existence of wiretaps of Trump just not as described by Trump in his tweets

You keep believing that.

I’m happy to drop this subject, but feel compelled to address these misconstruals first.

The difference between the genetics of humans vs other primates (and humans vs chickens, for that matter) is indeed quite small, and the difference between men and women is even smaller. However–and this is key–these differences are categorical in their nature. That is, there are genes that humans have that nonhuman primates simply don’t (and vice versa). Hence the taxonomic concept of species has a legitimate genetic basis.

Likewise, there is a fundamental, categorical difference in genotype between people who are biologically male (XY) compared to those who are biologically female (XX). Note that there is no continuum between these two genetic states. Thus, the concept of biological sex has a legitimate genetic basis.

Some Africans have a Y Chromosome not shared by the rest of humanity.

It is still a categorical variable, and thus qualitatively different from the continuous genetic variables associated with the concept of ‘race.’

I don’t particularly understand, but I’ll drop it.

A person who argues with a liberal. :dealwithit:

Weird how Mexico doesn’t want illegal immigrants in America to return home. Don’t they know illegals pay taxes that contribute billions of dollars to the US government? Why don’t they want those same benefits? Weird

Thats because you can’t ship hundreds of millions of dollars worth of dope to a bunch of gringos without some home town connections. That shit would disappear like magic without supervision.

Whoa whoa whoa hold up.

I was told the only crime ‘undocumented’ immigrants ever commit is crossing into America illegally. Immediately after crossing that magical line they become saints who are more law abiding and economically productive than natives.

Mind = blown

Not by me, thats for damn sure. I have some particular insights that prevent me from spewing such nonsense.

The thing is, its not entirely one way or the other.

Treco. I’m not sure what you are saying. My position is NOT that we shouldn’t have borders or that we are immoral for enforcement of the borders or for restricting immigration at any time we choose. We are a sovereign country and have every right to do that if we choose.

Is a wall specifically good policy? That’s an entirely different question than whether we should control or have the moral right to control our borders. I’ve never been against border enforcement.

That is also not what raj was arguing in the post I was responding to above. Again raj stated that during the founding of the country they “chose” certain “stock populations” for immigration. At the very least that requires a law restrciting immigration–not citizenship, but actual entry into the country. No such federal law exists during the Founders’ era.

So here is a question–what does everyone think of the outrage over Meals on Wheels getting “cut” in the budget?

I have yet to find any evidence that is actually targeted but that it could be a side effect of block grant elimination (NPR).

Thoughts?

It’s the same crap the Dems would yell in NJ when Christine Todd Whitman went to cut the budget.

OMG, no dialysis for kidney failure patients!

Was one of the favorite lines they would use.

I was only linking your posts with some reading aimed at any in the thread, who wanted a closer look at the subject of immigration.

Meals on Wheels is a worthy endeavor. My wife did it for years and she always felt the people welcomed a friendly face even over a hot meal. It is the type of program that churches can and should be doing.
But there certainly seems to be confusion on its funding with community block cut.
