Trump: The First 100 Days

Correct.

Do we know the outcome of the investigation one way or the other?

I’d say so. It would have been leaked to sink Trump before the election

Ya, I’m not aware of any evidence that’s been made public that a wiretapping even existed let alone was ordered by Obama. But, hey, what does that matter…?

It’s a brave new world.

It did exist, it’s public record. No one is debating the existence of the tap

Do you have a link? I haven’t seen that reported.

This is all spiraling way out of control.

You’re assuming the investigation was completed at that time, when we don’t know if it’s complete even now.

And Obama declined to allow release of info prior to the election, for fear of being seen as trying to inappropriately influence the process.

Thanks. I didn’t realize this was stemming from the FISA warrant.

Here’s my guess about the tapping:

They weren’t trying to find a Russia connection because the Democrats know the Russia stuff is bogus. They were looking for dirt to bury Trump and came up empty.

Now it’s basically backfired on them because Trump has made the public aware of what they’re doing

To the contrary, many ‘in the know’ people (Clapper; Comey) are refuting this claim.

Don’t go thanking him just yet. As of now, there is no evidence of a FISA wiretap, and much evidence against the idea.

Isn’t Comey rejecting the claim that the tap came from Obama, not the existence of the tap?

You’ll notice the Obama administration isn’t denying the existence of the tap, they’re just saying it didn’t come from Obama.

Important distinction.

Thanking him for the link. I’ve no clue what’s going on…

Your hypothesis is collusion between the FISA court and the White House to bury a candidate that was losing in every major poll up to the election?

Senior law enforcement and intelligence officials who worked in the Obama administration have said that there were no secret intelligence warrants regarding Mr. Trump. Asked whether such a warrant existed, James R. Clapper Jr., a former director of national intelligence, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” “Not to my knowledge, no.”

“There was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time, as a candidate or against his campaign,” Mr. Clapper added.

Who are the sources?

Unleashing a line of attack that energized an enthusiastic crowd at the nation’s largest gathering of conservative activists, Trump said Friday that unethical reporters “make up stories and make up sources.”

“They shouldn’t be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody’s name,” he declared. “Let their name be put out there.”

You’re relying on the statement of someone who has already been caught lying under oath.

“Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?”

“No, sir.” - James Clapper, under oath.

That’s basically what I was getting at.
