Trump: The First 100 Days

Spot on, but candidly, I haven’t ruled out Caligula.

With the constant lies about Trump by WaPo it’s getting to the point there’s little reason to take Jeff Bezos blog seriously

You know, I wonder what would have happened if the conspiracies about Jade Helm was a reality.

Bowling Green Massacre!

Let’ me speculate - in two months time Trump supporters, including the ones here, will say something along the lines “Obama killed only Bin Laden after all those years, Trump killed all those terrorists that carried out the Bowling Green Massacre after only two weeks in office”

I’m not sure if you watch HBO’s Game of Thrones, but there’s one particularly unscrupulous character (well, they’re mostly unscrupulous characters, but even so this one stands out for his lack of scruples) about whom a fellow character says “He would burn this country to the ground if he could be king of the ashes.”

Trump has always thrived on conflict and chaos; his entire brand is based on it. Much of his campaign was predicated on the idea that the country is falling apart, the world is in disarray, and we’re all doomed unless we do something to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

His election-night statement that he would be a “President for all Americans” was a nice sentiment, and for a few days, I thought maybe he would tone the inflammatory rhetoric down a little bit. Nope. He has not the slightest concern at all for uniting people, or being a President for all Americans.

(in before “But Obama…” - folks, Obama is gone)

Well this almost happened

Refugees rock!

Oh, good! Things that almost happened can be facts now!

Hilary almost won the election. Let’s just make her President.

Exactly what many of us were saying when Obama and his mindless followers blamed GW Bush for 5 or 6 of his years in office.

Good to see we have an example brought to our attention of a terrorist pretending to be a refugee that was admitted into America.

The problem with failed terrorist attacks (obviously better than people dying) is that they don’t get coverage the way successful attacks do.

For instance in my hometown most people don’t know about the foiled “Toronto 18”

Well, actually things that “almost happened” are facts. If there was “almost” a terrorist allowed into the country that happens to be a fact. Certainly it does not mean that there was an attack. But it does mean that he was “almost” allowed into the country…that is a fact. And more than likely that would not have been a good thing.

Glad I cleared that up for you?

Trump has already committed to fixing immigration if he doesn’t start an unnecessary war he’s basically going to be a great president

I think this would be a great response if Kellyanne had actually said it was an almost terror attack (instead of calling it a massacre like she did). Since she went on to backtrack on twitter it’s pretty clear she just simply got caught lying again.

Exactly. She didn’t call it an “averted terrorist attack.”

She called it the “Bowling Green Massacre.”

(leaving many of us to ask “Um, what is the Bowling Green Massacre?”)

Another quote that is suitable for this administration/politics in general.

I find Trump to be more like Joffrey(short fuse, etc etc) than like Little Finger(charming, calculated, witty.) Little Finger is out there playing chess, while everyone else is playing checkers(thanks Kobe.) I’m not sure the same can be said about Trump. . You made me just miss the hell out of this show…

Just the new, “hope and change.” Nobody runs a campaign on everything is running smoothly and all is well.

Honestly, I’m under the impression that Trump is just a pragmatist . He’s not a liberal. He’s not a conservative. He’s just a guy who wants to get things done, for good or bad.

I’m not sure how to “unite all Americans” when half the country has different beliefs. The uniting seems to come from an, “us vs them” situation, e.g. 9/11.

I agree…I just thought the particular quote about “burning the country to the ground if he would be king of the ashes” was reminding me a whole lot of Trump. And yes, my wife and I have been working our way through the entire show again to pick up on stuff that we missed the first time (hint of one cool thing you’ll spot on your second pass…actually, no spoilers here, but trust me, you’ll pick up on a lot of stuff that gets teased before it actually happens) as well as prepare ourselves for S7.

Aside from that, I do like a lot of the other stuff you wrote there.

Also, I’m not dodging your question in the other thread about the JAMA article on physician salaries…just haven’t gotten to it yet.

I wonder how much money has been given to these pro aggression towards Russia politicians?

Question Raj. What is wrong with our current immigration system that already has a pretty vigorous vetting process for Syrian refugees? I’m honestly confused on what needs to be fixed and what the ban will accomplish. And why the hell Trump didn’t mention anything about setting up the safe zones for the refugees that he talked about in his early draft of the EO is beyond me. Such a botched delivery of this EO.

are you asking specifically about refugees?
