Fwiw i was training an immigrant (he’s been here now for like 15+ yrs) from Mauritanya yesterday. After we were done we had about an hr long heart to heart. I feel bad cause he is struggling to run our production machines and the lead and supervisor want to get rid of him. I told him he has one of the best attitudes I’ve seen (honestly, better than most of our US born white operators) and that that is what is important to me. He said his 11yr old daughter is getting straight A’s and that he got her a iphone 7 for Christmas that she only uses for half hr at night after her homework is done (great parenting). He also told me he was raised muslim and he decided a year while ago to stop practicing. I thought that was cool cause, one I’m not religous and also theres a lot more to life than a time consuming religion.
To me he has a quintessential American story.

Obama has the luxury of playing off his attacks as unserious or comedy because as a Democrat he has the media completely on his side. Trump or any Republican for that matter doesn’t have the same luxury to do that.
At any rate if your standard for a man is not engaging in vicious attacks Obama fails not only with respect to Trump, but also during his 2008 run.
I don’t agree with your standard for a man especially in the realm of politics where it’s practically impossible to get anywhere without attacking your opponents. Trump is just ahead of the curve

I think that’s been largely missed. As to all the claims of oligarchy we’ve seen because of his businesses and wealth (and those of his appointees), I’m afraid every time we elect a new president because there is always the risk of someone becoming a dictator, but I don’t think the risk is any different than it was with Obama.
