Trump Gauntlet is Now Officially Dropped

Are these the same experts who let the banks run wild and crashed the economy ?

The same experts who suggested the Iraq War in 2003 ?

We have seen what “experts” have done in the last 16 years (from both sides of the aisle), and the outcome has driven the country into the ground.

Candidly, but respectfully, that’s a cop out - is his proposal good or bad, on the merits?

Hasn’t crashing the dollar been kicked around as a strategy to undercut the yuan and halt Chinas massive purchase of our bonds, which they hold to prop up the yuan to just below the dollar to maintain a comparative advantage in manufacturing?

I’d swear that was being kicked around a few years ago during one of those debt ceiling impasses.

I put up a very lengthy post regarding past Presidents and how they faired against their opponent 6-8 months from the general election. As it turns out about half of the winners were ahead and the other half were behind. This demonstrates that polls this far out are virtually meaningless.

I suspect this election will hinge on a few things:

  1. Turn out. Will the old bag Hillary be able to rouse support to her cause because we know Trump will have a massive turnout.

  2. Will Hillary get indicted? If so when? If it is before the convention there may be no nomination for Hillary. If it is after the convention she can keep running but she will be ruined. Even if there is a recommendation for indictment that will shave about 10 points off her total and hand it to Trump.

  3. How will Bernie Sanders followers react when Hillary pulls the super delegates and walks away with it. She may get the nomination without them. But, Bernie’s followers may not back Hillary. There will be a good chance that many will vote for the other rebel in the race, Trump. Some of course will stay home.

But one thing for certain if there is one candidate who is unfit for the job of the President of the United States it is Hillary Clinton for oh so many reasons.

Great post Push. I heard a similar analysis and it reverts back to the old adage of “it ain’t over 'til the fat lady sings,” and that bitch hasn’t even warmed up yet.

At that point I bet TB will really be ticked off…

“That freaking Trump you know he had 4 bankruptcies?”

I don’t know if I agree with the author, Push.

I think that the rise of Trump is much less “high-minded”…and much more basic and superficial (in most, but not all, cases).

Yes; there are people like yourself and people who actually follow the Court, constitutional law, etc.

But Trumps rise is more “…He’ll piss on those (name the Group)…and show those (name the Group) whose in control…! He’ll make America GREAT again! (wave Trump poster…)”

Or Trump for his lawsuits?

Shut up while we tell you all that you’re losing your jobs.

Yes because there is a long history of Presidents being impeached because of lawsuits. Oh wait…nope that has never happened.

So why suggest such a thing Drew were going for laughs?

Good video and one that shows why someone like Trump captured the GOP nomination. These are very difficult economic times brought to us by Barack Obama and moved forward before his 7+ years by GW Bush.

I agree with your assessment Mufasa. I would add a few things, one is the celebrity factor. In 2016 the lines have been blurred between reality and Showmanship. As I have said before the majority of those under the age of 30 got their news from Jon Stewart (before his leave of absence). Those thinking that this is like any other Presidential year are wrong in some respects. I don’t think candidate like Trump will lose in certain traditional blue states. But that is another conversation.

Have we ever elected a president with lawsuits or pending criminal charges? If we have I’ll concede the point.

I have to apologize Drew I didn’t know that Trump had any criminal charges pending, or are you referring to Hillary? Please enlighten me as to what they are regarding Trump.

As for the lawsuits I have no idea if any President in the history of our country was sued prior to being elected President. Nor, do I care to dedicate the time to search for such information. But, I would guess that some have since most have been somewhat successful men of means. And being successful draws law suits like ants to honey.
