Edgy teacher and touchy students collide?
I feel really bad for Dan Carlinâs TDS. Iâve listened to hundreds of hours of Hardcore History and Iâm just dumbfounded at his inability to comprehend current events.
In this post he backs up his opinion (which I agree with) that Germanyâs World War I military was a much more capable organization than Nazi Germanyâs war machine. He correctly points out that this was due to the ideology of National Socialism, where capable military professionals were often swept aside, purged, or otherwise hamstrung by Nazi identity politics.
I just donât get how he doesnât see the same thing from DEI. Thatâs literally what it was. Identity and ideology over talent and performance. The only difference is that Nazi ideology favored ethnic Germans and Nazi social justice ideology, not BIPOC people and Democratic Socialist social justice ideology.
TDS is a nasty affliction. At least he has the courage to post on X and hasnât retreated to BlueSky.
I feel like stirring the pot.
https://www.cato.org/blog/cato-study-immigrants-reduced-deficits-145-trillion-1994
The CATO institute is not left-leaning by any means.
But, when you pair that number with the fact that the combined impact of Donald Trump and George W. Bush on the U.S. national debt exceeds $15.5 trillion, thereâs a pretty good argument to be made that immigrants are better for the US economy than republican presidents.
The CATO institute is libertarian, which has always favored open borders. They arenât socialists, but they also arenât Republican or MAGA by any means. It is unsurprising that they can reach this conclusion and it is even a plausible one at the federal level, but Iâd take it with a huge grain of salt.
It is also looking backwards at what has happened, not what would have happened if Democrats continued with the absolutely insane immigration policies of the Biden Administration.
Their findings donât pass the smell test at all here in Maine. Especially with regards to public school costs, which have ballooned to over twice the municipal budget here in Lewiston in the last decade. The broad nature of the study allows for a lot of generous assumptions in the methodology.
It also doesnât count the VAST taxpayer spending on NGOâs as âwelfareâ or âbenefitsâ, when it is exactly that. Thousands of âprivate sectorâ jobs in Maine (and elsewhere) only exist because of government grants to 501(c)(3)âs. These are organizations nobody would fund with their own money, but studies like this will count the taxes paid by the employees while ignoring that a large percentage - sometimes 100 percent - of the salaries and operating costs comes from taxpayer money.
It also pretends that staggering levels of politically-enabled fraud doesnât exist, again counting the âprivate sectorâ economic output as positives even when an organization like a home healthcare provider only has one paying customer, the government.
In this kind of model, an organization like Lighthouse Home Health Care is calculated as a private sector tax contributor, when it is, in fact, an extremely shady organization set up by an immigrant from Rwanda whose only customer is the state of Maine.
It also assumes that a lack of fraud detection is proof positive that the organization is on the up-and-up, when the reality is that fraud is actively NOT investigated in states like Maine. This is similar to how thereâs âno proofâ of voter fraud when the entire system in Maine is set up so that any fraud is impossible for any given registrar to detect. You would need to cross-reference voter registration information with other data from immigration authorities, Medicaid, Social Security, etc to even begin to know how much fraud there actually is.
It is no coincidence that our Secretary of State refuses to hand this data over to the federal government, or the public for that matter. It is a closely-guarded state secret.
A study like this would also count an organization like Catholic Charities of Maine as a net contributor when they are funded by hundreds of millions in state and federal tax dollars for the express purpose of importing new immigrants who would not be coming here on their own.
In short, their methodology is likely pure fantasy that pretends that whatâs happening in Maine isnât happening at scale across the rest of the country in blue state strongholds like Minnesota and California.
If the study were true, why has EVERYTHING gotten more expensive in Maine, including state and local taxes, while the actual services provided suffer so badly?
Dan was making a comparison to Trump in that statement?
Not directly, but if you read his other posts and his comments in that thread, heâs got really bad TDS.
He reminds me of my aunt and uncle who are a bit older than him. Folks who have lived for decades trusting mainstream news and most other public institutions because they actually functioned well for most of their lives.
They seem incapable of recognizing how ideologically and financially corrupt our institutions have become and donât want to believe something like that is even possible here.
Dan will eagerly characterize Trump as uniquely authoritarian. I donât think heâs ever directly compared Trump to Hitler, but heâs called it fascist and compared him to Mussolini.
I suspect Carlin doesnât actually know that much about the political ideology of National Socialism or fascism. He knows a ton of stuff about the war, but he is either ignorant of or deliberately avoids all of the rather ominous parallels Democratic Socialism has to National Socialism.
If I had to guess, heâs still running on the same over-simplified explanation of Naziism being a âright wingâ set of ideas that was inherently capitalistic that I was taught 25 years ago.
Current academic literature really leaves no room for that kind of argument. They were very socialist, just not Marxist-Leninist.
Hype man Thomas Massie, RINO:
(with his pal, fake âmoderateâ Ro Khanna)
This is a pretty unprecedented level of transparency from the Trump Administration, and I suspect some bombshell information is contained in this file. The data have been set loose and thereâs no un-ringing this bell.
DOGE for the win. Unleash the data analysts and autists. They will have a field day with this data dump, available for anyone to download in .csv.
Just the three graphs theyâve already posted show some mind-boggling numbers. The Biden administration just opened up the floodgates to fraud, with many states doing the same thing. Itâs no wonder they had to call Trump Hitler to try to stop him.
Its interesting because one of the things I love about hardcore history is how Carlin doesnât fall into viewing historical events through a modern lens. Youâd think heâd have a better grasp on current events.
Lincoln and republicans ruined the economy fighting the Civil War. Probably would have been better for the gdp to spread slavery.
Iâve listened to his whole catalog and love it, but I think it is possible that his success has gone to his head and heâs simply lacking any information to put the actual modern policies into any historical context. In other words, he knows a lot about wars, ancient history, and does a great job at historical storytelling, but heâs never even remotely gotten into the weeds of systems like communism, fascism, or National Socialism on any of his shows.
Thatâs where I see so many similarities with my aunt and uncle, who are both well-read retired physicians. In their minds, Democrats are still basically the party of JFK, or maybe Bill Clinton.
Conflating American Republicanism with National Socialism by using an 18th century French seating chart has been one of the leftâs greatest rhetorical victories. A lot of people truly believe the Nazis were hyper-capitalist, when they had a centrally-planned economy and a massive welfare state constructed for the goal of achieving race-based social justice.
People are having a field day with all of the Medicaid billing data that was just dumped on the public by DOGE HHS. Steve Robinson of The Maine Wire has parsed out a list of the highest billing per claim entities in Maine for Type 1019 billing (non-skilled, home health providers). The namesâŠ
This really, really explains a lot of the very nice cars I see immigrants driving. Weâve known about the shady nonprofits funded by tax dollars. Weâve known most are on some form of welfare. Most figured something shady has been going on, but nothing like this.
One guy named Abdi Abdihakim owns 16 single family homes in Lewiston. To be clear, some services are provided by at least some of these entities, but the word around town is that all of the immigrant-run home healthcare shops are horror shows. An ex-girlfriend of mine did DSP work for a legitimate agency while she was getting her degree and they were reputable, well-trained, and could have easily scaled up their operation. Instead, weâve got ALL of these start-ups getting all of the government business. The Maine Wire visited a house in my friendâs neighborhood and the disabled man living there had nothing kind to say about the providers.
This is completely bonkers stuff, and itâs just the stuff thatâs standing out with 24 hours worth of querying. Democrats used taxpayer money to import a new voting bloc, gave them taxpayer dollars through every avenue imaginable, and looked the other way while they plunder the land. All while insisting that our elections are secure when you can register to vote with no documentation whatsoever, or a utility bill, a paycheck, or other documents that in no way prove citizenship.
The Democratic Partyâs entire apparatus is a RICO case, maybe the biggest in history. It sure explains why our current Mayor thought a $40,000 loan was a good investment to campaign for a $7,000 per year stipend job as Mayor of Lewiston.
My favorite of all your takes.
Ilhan Omar says hold my beer.
From what Iâve seen on X, New York state may be the worst out of them all with the T1019 billing. Even worse than Minnesota.
When I step back and look at the last 20 years, especially the last 10, you can see how everything woke foisted on American society has been in service of a massive wealth extraction scam. It really explains a lot.
DEI conditions people to believe that it is racist to even accuse a BIPOC of something shady. It conditioned people to accept mass migration. It even penalized people who spoke out about the policy at work, especially of the employer was the government.
Mass migration destabilized society further, making a subset of people scream even louder for more socialism.
Taxpayer funded NGOâs functioned as political activism machines to register voters whether they were citizens or not, bus them to the polls, ballot harvest, all on our dime.
Teacherâs unions became even more powerful and made it their mission to indoctrinate future generations into accepting this massive scam as a morally righteous political philosophy.
Systems like Maine that enable consequence-free noncitizen voting and other forms of voter fraud were the lynchpin that made it all possible.
Secure power first, then plunder the land. Thatâs what the Democratic party has ALWAYS been about beginning with their founding as a pro-slavery organization. They really only existed as a moderate political party for a couple of decades in the late 20th and early 21st Century when our institutional strength was still resistant to their corruption and you couldnât mass rig elections so easily.
Here in Maine, they corrupted one of our largest charities to the point where they legally siphoned off mass shooting donations to go to immigrant and prisoner advocacy NGOâs, including some blatantly fake ones. If theyâd do that right out in the open, right in the faces of people who lived through a massacre, of course they will commit widespread healthcare fraud, especially when Democrats refuse to investigate it unless it becomes a PR problem.
Republicans have done bad stuff too, including enabling mass migration for their own reasons, but the scope and scale of whatâs being revealed is almost impossible to fathom.

I guess only certain groups get passes.
Philip was not pardoned. He was only granted a commutation, much better⊠![]()
They were caught and prosecuted and the payments to their organizations ceased. There may be some shady lobbying or other influence going on with Esformesâ pardon, but thatâs not remotely equivalent to the scope or scale of whatâs happening in todayâs Democratic Party. The records made public BY THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION all but prove that blue states like Maine and Minnesota have systematically ignored these cases as part of a larger political conspiracy to import a new voting bloc with taxpayer money, then empower noncitizens to vote as well as enable who-knows-what other types of fraud in a system of voting designed to let it slip through.
This is unlike anything thatâs ever happened in human history. Eventually, most TDS sufferers will come to understand that Trump has been right for the last decade, that theyâve been lied to by a corrupt media who made it their mission to undermine him to preserve the scam, and that they fell for the biggest scam in human history that wouldâve led us straight into a communist hellscape if not for Trump.
Then again, a lot of people went to their graves hating Abraham Lincoln, the last Republican who ended one of historyâs greatest wealth extraction scams.
TDS narratives grow weaker every day with all of the new information coming out. All thanks to The First Amendment and Elon Muskâs purchase of twitter. Rembember when Democrats tried the extremely fascistic move of pressuring private media companies to censor speech on behalf of their political party? If not, read up on The Twitter Files, all public record. My own Senator Angus King is in them, and he specifically requested twitter to ban/block people I know in Maine.
Who wouldâve thought that all of the people screaming that their opponents were fascists were the actual fascists the whole time?
Hereâs the fascist in-chief inverting reality for his useful idiots:
So, whats it like when some scumbag that you know is guilty as sin gets let off the hook by presidential pardon?
Iâm so glad Joe Autopen International Salesman Of Our Legislature Biden never did such a thing.
That would be terrible if he (or his handlers) did something like Pardon a bunch of guilty pigs in advance AND RETROACTIVELY of any crimes they may have committed.
That would speak very poorly of him.
So the threat Donald is protecting us from is Communism? Hmm, good to know.
In a nutshell, yes. Communism localized to a western target, so not exactly the same rhetoric and tactics as the Bolsheviks. More similar to Maoist thought with plenty of actual Nazi policies sprinkled in, all wrapped up in DEI. Mass migration (enabled with public funds) was one of the main elements of this plan to destabilize society and usher in a new era of one-party neo-Marxist rule.
Below are the actual academic schools of thought that encompass gay race communism as it exists today. These are all very real fields of study with very real trickle-down effects into public policy, including public school curriculum. The whole idea is to awaken (âwokeâ) collective consciousness of âmarginalizedâ groups to seize power and repair the world.
Just like all forms of socialism, it is a massive scam operation. Here in Maine, we have the results in hand of six years of these policies being foisted on the public, and absolutely no measurable improvements in any public prosperity, safety, education, or health metric.
Just a WHOLE LOTTA SCAMMING! Plus a system of elections that allows any and all noncitizens to vote, plus a whole lot of other shenanigans.
