In local news, Maine’s Secretary of State doesn’t like what Tulsi Gabbard, who is much more beautiful than her, is up to in Fulton County, GA. She’s getting ratio’d pretty hard on X because she’s wrong and ugly.

As a side comment more so than a discussion piece, it’s always fascinating for me to see sentiment about our southern border from people a thousand plus miles removed from it.
I can hit the border in ~ 3 hours and San Antonio is the nearest major city to me, which is heavily Hispanic. As is the entire region headed south and southwest (the valley).
Opinions are mixed but there is strong anti-illegal immigrant sentiment amongst Hispanics and border patrol has always had very heavy representation.

I’ve also heard something regarding the ‘‘harassment of legal and illegal citizens’’ . I swear to God I heard someone say that. Some of your news pundits. Made me chuckle and wonder if the definitition of citizen has changed recently.
In practical terms, the definition has changed, at least in Maine and many other blue states. Democrats are very careful to rarely admit that noncitizens are voting in significant numbers, but they always lean into “inclusive” messaging that draws no meaningful distinction between citizens and noncitizens. This is because they are gay race communists who believe that men can become women and anyone who occupies the geography ought to vote in our elections.
It’s a lot of crap like this picture of our Mayor. Pictured to the left is the guy who received mass shooting donations for his fake nonprofit, was escorted out of his residence in handcuffs (but not arrested) during Lewiston’s largest ever meth bust, THEN got nominated to the school board by the mayor despite claiming to live in the condemned meth house, got elected to city council, then resigned less than two days after being sworn in due to felony firearms theft charges.
Now that’s a punchable face if I ever saw one.

He is despised like no other Mayor in Lewiston’s history with the possible exception of Mayor Tara, who ousted incumbent Mayor Raymond who was nationally skewered over 20 years ago when he wrote an open letter to the Somali community after the first wave moved here from Atlanta. He asked them to please stop moving to Lewiston because it put an unmanageable strain on the city’s social services because almost every single one of them were eligible for public assistance. Mayor Tara did the opposite and encouraged more to come, ended up dating a few Somali men, and ended up homeless not long after she left the Mayor’s office.
Mayor Sheline failed miserably during the mass shooting, when he disappeared for days without making any public statements at all. He’s a carpetbagger from Arizona who obviously moved here to be a Democratic machine politician. He even took out a $40,000 loan for his campaign for mayor, which only pays around a $7,500 per year stipend.
I made a public comment urging the council to censure him for declaring that fascism had arrived in Lewiston when ICE showed up. At least one councilor publicly agreed with me, so I’m hoping a motion to censure takes place at tonight’s council meeting. It will almost certainly get voted down, which also makes them look bad because it tells everyone that it’s okay to egg people on by labeling your political opponents as Nazis.

I’m not sure of those details, but my hunch is that she became a drug addict and chose street life. She probably qualified for some assistance, but it has been Somalis to the front of the line for all new housing ever since they became an imported voting bloc. There’s a reason homeless people in Lewiston are 99 percent white people and a couple of American blacks. There’s only one Somali homeless in Lewiston, and she refuses all offers of help.
