I think this goes a long way in solving most culture war problems. A vast majority of people want the same things in their life. Let’s focus on them.
And like I said, we have major security concerns and huge issues in economy to deal with. Who cares about Pride marches currently?

The best time to travel to Europe, in my opinion, is in the 90s and 2000s.
It’s not as dire as they’re making it out to be, but there’s a noticeable difference between Paris or Rome now and back then.
Other than the safety thing, the cultural experience is also more dilutted. I’m glad I got to see London before their cultural enrichment.

It’s not nearly as dire. But it’s gotten worse. Like in France, most places are still great, but most big cities are more unsafe these days.
Switzerland and Austria have a big German immigrant population. Now there’s a cultural shock!
Ukrainians are the group who has better integrated into our society.

I had a great time in Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia in 1997. I’m glad I visited when I did.
Maine still has lots of great stuff for tourists to do when it comes to outdoor activities, but Portland isn’t the same town it was when I moved here. It still has the best nightlife in Maine, but the presence of street zombies has had the same effect there that it has in Lewiston. Businesses struggle and while high-end dining is still a thing, you just may get to watch a guy having a psychotic break on the sidewalk while you enjoy your $100 lunch. Or maybe piss on the sidewalk, vomit, take a crap, or shoot fentanyl into his foot. In some ways it is even worse than Lewiston now. The vibe has definitely shifted there, too.
Lewiston used to have a few really outstanding restaurants, especially French cuisine. It had the highest percentage of French speakers of any US city when I moved here, even more than New Orleans. That’s probably not the case anymore.
Fun fact about Austria. They actually banned the Nazi party when Austria was fascist in the years before the Anschluss. They tried to stop those German guys, but it didn’t work out so well because guns. It’s a good counter-argument when people try to say that National Socialism is just like Italian fascism.
Oh yeah, they’re pretty different. I tried to remember the name if the book I did read in uni. But it explained most common types of fascism, and Nazis are a group of their own.
It’s a quite unique mix if you think of it. Nationalism and socialism taken a bit too far, mixed with strong militarism, race identity/ideology and strange esoteric pagan mysticism.
Nowadays you would need two stops for Czechoslovakia, but yeah, those were the gool ol’ days. You must be around my age so I assume you were a teenager back then.

Yes, I was 16 years old doing the whole backpack across Europe and stay in hostels. It was a great adventure and my German was good enough to get around and awkwardly flirt with the frauleins.
So I finished listening to Maine’s own Steve Robinson on The Shaun Ryan show and I highly recommend this podcast episode. Steve is perhaps the most knowledgeable guy about Maine’s political situation and he goes into incredible depth about all of the bat-shit crazy stuff that I’ve been writing about here for years.
One new thing I learned from this podcast is particularly morbid, and nobody I know ever noticed this until now. Somalis are never in the obituary. Steve heard about this from Minneapolis police who have noticed that they have never been called to respond to a DOA situation like a heart attack or stroke for Somalis. It brings up a very, very disturbing question:
Where do the bodies go?
It is strictly speculation at this point, but the most obvious explanation would be that they never officially die in the public record, but instead continue to collect benefits. It would explain why Maine is guarding basic public records from the federal government like it is the Ark of The Covenant or something.
We all have known that funny stuff is happening in Maine, but we’re really starting to learn how bad it really is.

Not that you wouldn’t easily get by with English but since you know some German, why is it that Einstein is the only Jewish German name that yanks pronounce correctly? Otherwise it’s always Epsteen, Finkelsteen, Weinsteen… It’s the same “Stein”!!
I guess Espsteen kinda suits him based on what we know now, as in “that Epsteen fucker guy” but still… consistency matters.

I’d bet my paycheck on it. We’ll see how it all plays out, but so much information is coming out right now and the current behavior of Maine Democrats tells me that the house of cards may be crumbling.
We still lack European speech controls that put people in jail or fine them if they say something that upsets someone. The censorship by proxy effort also failed when Elon Musk purchased X. People are learning what’s going on, and once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
I was shocked to see an ICE surge in little old Maine, but I’m sure the feds know WAY more than I do about what’s actually going on here and made us a priority for both political reasons and actual moral reasons.
Meanwhile, Democrats are still doing the Rainbow Mafia brand of emotional blackmail and calling anyone who disagrees with them racist bigots. Even our news.
It’s no wonder the Maine Wire reporters have Somalis rolling up on them and making gun gestures. Wild times.

Soo.. ICE shot another person in Minneapolis. Claims go that he was disarmed by ICE before the claimed execution. Does anyone have a good video source to see what happened?
I haven’t seen any good angles, but one audio clip sounded like a single shot from one gun was fired, then three quick pops from a different gun.
As expected, Governor Walz is hitting the gas pedal on his narrative before anyone really knows what happend. Shameful.
In local news, The Maine Wire was barred entrance from an anti-ICE event in Lewiston today. The security was clear. Other press were allowed, the Maine Wire is not.

Here’s some footage from outside the Lewiston ICE event. Talk about a bunch of useful idiots. At some point in the distant future, it may dawn on a few of these people that they were emotionally manipulated into supporting the most audacious scam in world history, but it won’t be today.
It’s actually amazing more people haven’t wound up dead at this point. Thousands of agitators are coming into the city to provoke and impede ICE from performing their duty to get these criminals out of our country. I’m astounded that most of the ICE agents have been able to stay calm in the face of all this.
And this is nothing. Last year we deported something like 250,000. Good start, but we need to get that to 1-1.5 million a year to make discernible change.

Here’s the best angle I’ve seen so far. It is tough to make out what is happening, but one thing stood out at me. The guy’s jacket was zipped when the altercation began. He was turtling up and obviously resisting, but it is tough to see what he was doing with his hands while turtled. When he gets shot his jacket is open. I don’t see clear footage of him drawing the gun, but it’s really tough to make out what’s happening here.
I suspect bodycam footage will be released soon, but this guy looks like he followed Tim Walz’s advice to get in ICE’s faces and cause trouble, and it looks like he was ready to die while doing it.
One thing about leftist rhetoric in the USA is that it literally targets the mentally ill who are susceptible to emotional manipulation. That’s why so many transgenders are autistic.
I think what’s going on in Minneapolis right now is more or less the beginning of Civil War 2.0. It’s been a cold civil war for a long time, but I think the left will keep pushing their narratives, keep encouraging guys like this, and never back down on any of it. They certainly won’t admit that all of what’s happened with the revolutionary socialist movement has been a massive scam to protect a mind-boggling wealth extraction scheme. Some will probably never believe it, always clinging to the idea that they were helping the workers of the world unite or whatever variation on that silly idea they latched on to.
