Thereās more to it than that. Most of the shooters (that they catch) are juveniles, so we donāt always have confirmation of identity, but locals know that Somalis make up the bulk. Not all though. Yesterday afternoonās shooter was reportedly a white guy. Our mass shooter was also a white guy.
Almost all of the Democratic Party political operatives are white people, and a good chunk of the hardcore DSA activist types are from out-of-state (similar to how Tim Walz is not from MN). Our Mayor is originally from Arizona, but somehow he decided to get into politics right after moving to Lewiston.
If you check out the nonprofits included in the āDecarceration Collectiveā that operates out of Colby College, most of those are run by white people, too. Their explicit goal is 100 percent aligned with the DSA policy platform; the abolition of all prisons. The two nonprofits from this ācollectiveā who received mass shooting funds are run by an American black guy who murdered his drug dealer in Lewiston in 1997.
Racial demographics is just one ingredient in the cake that has been baked in Maine. Funding priorities make up a huge aspect of it, as do soft-on-crime policies like ārestorative justiceā, the Homelessness Crisis Protocols that de facto legalize public drug use, under-funding both the prosecutorās office and the public defenders, and public welfare policies that attract people who want to collect them.
Considering the overwhelming whiteness of Maine during the 20th Century, Mainers have only themselves to blame for allowing the situation to get so out of hand. Thatās what happens when Democrats use public money to import a new voting bloc and Democrats are too afraid of being called āracistā to speak up about the insane public policies.
That has nothing to do with anything. The difference between Finland and Somalia? Finland has laws.

Local and national news continues to converge in weird stories. The owner of this bizarre van is a Platner volunteer currently doing the āsafety brigadeā in front of the mosque that happens every Friday. Sheās super-white but identifies as a nonbinary person of color.
It even has dealer plates for a trailer, a rusty satellite dish on the roof, and āDunn Newsā on the side.
Somehow, the city council and school committee consistently implement the policies this crazy bitch advocates for.

Rancourt is one of the most common names in this area. Thereās a whole bunch of 'em. The most famous is Rene Rancourt, originally from Lewiston. He sang The National Anthem for the Boston Bruins for decades, including their championship season in 2011.

I donāt care who someone is, Fuentes, Trump, Anybody- if they want you to subjugate your own thoughts or ability to think in lieu of theirs- theyāre going to screw you over. Probably as hard as they possibly can.
I might agree with some things from some people, but only on my own terms and of my own volition.
Its that old Brain Games show coming back to haunt. The human brain is lazy. Itās physiologically expensive to run, and easy to cue up to shut down.
There are low people in high places that know this and use it.
