Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

They should root out the sick stupid festering pustules that promoted the attacks on jewish students, and discrimination based on color (white) and country of origin (US).

They’ve grown bloated lazy and sick slurping government dollars given to them by people that lie for a living, and taken from people that have no chance of ever attending them.

The university system has also been complicit/in collusion with banks issuing federal loans. The costs have risen so far and fast beyond organic inflation that there’s virtually nobody that can pay out of pocket, thus requiring loans- which are easy to get and virtually impossible to pay off. Lifetime enslavement to banks at the hands of these universities.

This has needed to happen for a long time.

Whether that is true or not, consider what they want to replace all of that with. Changes are needed, but these are not the people who should be bringing it.

I haven’t seen what anybody wants to replace it with, other than a bigger push for trade schools and apprenticeships.

Universities used to be for smart people. Now they’re for 18 year olds that haven’t tapped out their value as a debtor.

They want to replace one ideology with another.

I’d be happy with an environment that actually promotes free thought, the value of learning/knowledge, and rewards effort toward that end.

As it stands, that is not the case in a lot of them.

I can’t speak for everything that was brought up, but when it comes to Kevin Roberts, he’s a weirdo christian nationalist. I know you don’t like the idea of policy decisions being based on fairy tales, so here’s an excerpt from his book:

A man’s religious tradition is a matter of his conscience, but that we have a faithful people is a matter of public concern. Accordingly, the state must not discriminate against religious organizations in government programs, and freedom of religion should take precedence over the enforcement of other rights. Policies that encourage religious observance, such as Sabbath laws and voucher programs that include religious schools, should be encouraged. American society is rooted in the Christian faith—certainly public institutions should not establish anything offensive to Christian morals under the guise of “religious freedom” or “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Why would they want that? If people are free thinkers, they might think something the powers that be find objectionable. The intolerance and hate the right has for the humanities, is evidence of that.

I’m talking more about neutral ground than an ideological switcheroo.

Private colleges can do what ever they want. But if they’re receiving hundreds of millions of federal dollars, they should be neutral. Like, a place to learn stuff.

You can like that. I can like that. But they don’t like that.

I know. Thats when administrators and politicians use sophistry to obfuscate their actual motives, usualy greed & grandiosity.

The population as a whole. Some may be better off, namely the rich assholes who already bought the White House and congress.

He just paused federal funding today on a number of things including research grants, the free lunch program for kids, WIC, meals on wheels and conveniently when he announced the Medicaid payment portal went down do to “an unrelated incident” I smell BS

He has said tariffs will be paid for by the exporting countries. That’s not how tariffs have ever worked in the history of mankind. The importing country pays the tariffs at the end of the chain.

He is also trying to end birthright citizenship for Native Americans. Where would he deport them to? The only option would be a prison camp since this is their original land and the reservations can’t hold the entire indigenous populous.

I am not saying there aren’t problems in many of the universities and they are definitely complicit in raising tuition rates to unsustainable levels. I am still paying off my undergrad degree more than 10 years later and I went to public school (out of state but still public).

Those problems should be fixed, but a burn it down first approach is utterly stupid.

How is it TDS. It’s legit happening and is utterly incompetent leadership. I would be saying the exact same thing had sleepy joe issued the same orders.

You can go read all the executive orders or keep believing in the cult of personality (because that’s what it is and always has been - all the way back to 2015).

Watch the interview with this fool. He suggested all the kids on lunch programs (especially in high school) should get jobs. Don’t worry about education, just work…

Why?

So he is freezing entitlement programs while investigating efficiency/abuse. I understand you personally dislike this but how, objectively, is this a problem for all of us?

So far we have seen him leverage tariffs as a socio-political negotiation tool (previously discussed somewhere on T-Nation) to the effect that Colombia not only came to heel on his deportation agenda, but offered its own Presidential plane for transport. It looks like he understands leverage and how to apply tariffs for it to me. He is also going to be offsetting tax burdens via measures above and through others, balancing potential incremental cost of goods. You haven’t touched on leverage at all, a key factor in tariff success. We hold pretty strong hands.

Can share you share an example of his tariff propositions that have hurt us yet, objectively? Colombia is the only one I’m aware of, and it was solidly beneficial.

Birthright is tied to a nation, not a landmass.

Indians were given the option join the US or remain as nation states or remain as nation states on reservations. What’s the problem?

Yeah…I’m not sure why taking citizenship would mean deportation.

Hell…has Trump, or someone in his administration, even talked about taking American Indian citizenship?

Bingo!!! Your whole post was spot on.

wanted to add: And most of the enslaved are the morons who are in debt due to garbage degrees in garbage “majors”; cue the ready made army of “progressives” hoping for a lifetime of gov’t handouts, starting with the student debt forgiveness that Demented Biden tried to bribe voters with.

My new favorite line item is the 50 million earmarked for condoms in gaza.

Question: how do you know that dollars are being stolen by gov’t grifters and terrorists? Answer: see line item above.

The TDS is glorious.

I’m surprised by the lack of MDS so far.

"Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the immediate revocation of retired Gen. Mark Milley’s personal security detail and security clearance.

He cited allegations that Milley “undermined the chain of command” during Trump’s first term.

Hegseth has also directed the acting Inspector General to launch a review board to determine if there is enough evidence to strip Milley of a retirement star."
