It’s not about the stores but the location. There are neighborhoods in Chicago where that would describe a gun shop if they had them.

What z doesn’t realize is that no violent dickwad gangbangers go to gun stores, even in the greater Chicagoland area. They send someone with a clean record.
Straw buyers… thefts from cars / homes… took a ton of stolen gun reports in my time.
True story… when the Mississippi would get low enough, we’d find a ton of guns in the mud or barge workers would call and say they found a gun beneath one of our multiple bridges

I actually invited two local dealers to a BJJ class when I worked bar security after they watched me take down two dudes at once, thanks to their small frames and leather belts.
They showed up late and didn’t want to spar.
Some crooks definitely lift weights, but I’ve never suspected anyone who’s been a consistent mat presence for more than a couple sessions of being a crook.
No but plenty of crumb bums and dudes reeking of weed.
If there were gun shops in the ghettos, gang members would indeed go there… to rob them. What you don’t realize is, I lived in the ghetto. They are legitimately border line retarded.
